QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 3 2013, 15:14) Try it, then let me know how it worked out. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Random guess: the system will tell you "you don't have enough xp to salvage this item" or something of the sort...

Thank you for fixing the Riddlemaster (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I only had one bad encounter, I was always holding my breath on the appearance at round 2 of the arenas Most of time it was ..... whew, dodged that bullet, it loaded (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

- Accounts will now enter a 24 hour security lockdown under certain conditions. This disables access to MoogleMail, the Equipment and Item Shop, the Shrine, the Hath Exchange, and the credit transfer function. It also disables the Salvage and Reforge options in the Forge. GOOD?...What's the "certain conditions"? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

QUOTE(Ichy @ Mar 3 2013, 16:31) Nothing to whine. I'm out of here (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) No mage nerf. There is always that. Otherwise excellent update. Must be Christmas or something.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 3 2013, 13:48) Well, I was considering it, but with the new salvaging the actual damage done would be limited.
What about spreading the upgrades among a bunch of equips which are good enough that they'd want to keep them, but not what they'd want to upgrade? If they wanted the mats back they'd have to lose the equips plus up to 20% of the materials. and I can see someone hacking Frith's account to raise all of his ~PL 500 monsters a bit above their ideal power levels. the damage would be effectively nil, so the chances of anyone intervening to revert it would also probably be nil. If people know what the conditions are, then they can circumvent them.

NOBODY DO THIS TO FRITH PLEASE! As fun as that may sound, that'll cause so much drama (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Frith'll go nuts, if he isn't already (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Also if someone had a few million crystals and over 9000 chaos tokens saved up, you could shred them by creating new monsters <PL99, upgrading them, and then deleting them. If the griefer had a script prepared, they could do it very quickly.

Huh. So, say, if you are at level 50, you upgrade some item (you get no exp because you're at max level), and then salvage it. And as a result, you lose forge exp?

Nope, you still get exp at max level. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 1 2013, 06:44) QUOTE(HTTP/308 @ Mar 1 2013, 04:47) BTW, does/will forge exp overflow as a buffer? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) It does.

Looks like leveling the forge will be hard now. I wonder how many sets it will take. But at least it will make more people use it possibly.
