QUOTE(Nightwishman @ May 17 2013, 01:33) No they didn't, its what made lamerdins so gloriously fun. Also, "passive charge use?"
fixed i said decent for a reason. "passive charge" is the use of charge to move around and generate desynch. charge of course wasn't the only source of desynch and in many rule sets you found that you could not use boots and any other item with FRW with str bug.

@treesloth: You have a voice to affect things. Don't diss freedom of speech, if someone with no great wealth like skillchip showed with math that light armor is significantly superior to heavy due, say, being able to tank normal attacks and skills being less likely to hurt them, take a guess what would happen.
However, you missed completely what I meant with bindings: the scarcity of certain types of bindings is caused by players forging unequally, which is not the intention - one would rather expect the armor binding prices to be far higher than weapon types due 5 armor slots and 1 weapon slot. I very much doubt your armors are all forged more than your weapon, and in the end the materials have to come from somewhere - so you might as well invest in monsters yourself. Might stop them giving low-grades if that's bothering you....

QUOTE(calibur @ May 17 2013, 14:46) To be honest, I wouldn't want these mats to be given out more often and I probably have an even harder time getting them compared to you.
HV is a grinding game at heart and it kind of takes away from the whole grind if you make things too easy. And lets be honest here, by making these mats so hard to obtain it makes adopting a server, running H@H, and donating more appealing which in the end helps the site.
What i can foresee is that people pay for slots or servers but still, they can't buy shit because the price of mats rocket shoot to outer-space.

It's the "rocket fuel needs to carry rocket fuel" problem. There are equations that can help you with this.

I am afraid that this doesn't make much sense, no one on earth would forge stats some more because they are allowed to forge it more times. People forge stats when the benefit justify the cost.

More and more people getting H@H, and the supply of mats should drop due to Monster Lab revamp. At least it is not a dream to get out of the milky way.

Psst. Lement. You can use Bindings of Slaughter to forge Power and Shade Armours too. I think it has to do with the fact that the scaling for ADB vs PMI (and similarly, for MDB and MMI) are obviously weighed towards ADB. Your damage rises much more when you forge it, and can rise to 100%, as opposed to your mitigations, which can only hit 40% increase, and rises much more slowly with level anyway. And I'll bet if Shade Fragments and Repurposed Actuators and Phazons are 5x as common as Slaughter/Destruction/Fenrir/Heimdall bindings, you'll see some serious armour forging as well.

Only destruction/EDB? What do you think mages forge on their armor, evade?
Stop poking fun in my logic. Wait, the other way around. I'm well aware that forging multiplicative things split into five additively doesn't enable one to kill faster as much as forging 1 weapon 1 time. Because nobody wants to be compared to 1h.

A small nudge to make Bindings of Slaughter and Crystallized Phazon drop more often wouldn't hurt. I'm not talking about a big nudge, a small one could help. Something is better than nothing, after all.

Although it isn't the intention, raising the drop on expensive bindings sets a precedent, and raising their price to get them to drop more is the reason why item shop doesn't have fluid prices.

So I see 501st has dropped some levels...(currently in RE). It is at 1455 when it was previously at 1501 (I checked the wiki to make sure). Seems the patch is rollling in bit by bit.

People sell them to the item shop. I know someone who use to get lots from the item shop bot a few months ago. He stopped bidding now that the price is this high though...
