Yeah, drop rate and quality feel like they are at an all time low. I keep thinking that I am wasting my time on higher difficulties. My last few exquisites and even two magnificents dropped on normal and were crap, too.

Yeah, I love how I got my second magnificent piece of phase armor (Magnificent phase gloves of heimdall) ever shortly after that post and also got better fenrir shoes than I was previously using today. It's almost like the RNG was trying to tell me that whining about drop quality is retarded. I think I've just been playing too much recently, I should take a break and lower my expectations.

Could the evade bonus of Display Title not being count into over-burden punishment?
Just one way to make rewards more useful,though I already adapt to the new style of heavy armor.
Or some new kind title? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Both are true, after all. My last Stats class was Introduction to the Practice of Statistics; had a text that weighed 2 tonnes, and I was the only one in my class to score anything near a High Distinction - not to brag or anything. And any knight wearing plate armour will tell you getting knocked off your horse (much less your feet) is very much like making yourself into an overturned turtle, so you'd best learn how to get back up and quick.

Or were you talking about my examples? They're just to illustrate the point; I'm not gonna contribute meaningfully to any Srs Bsns, except to say that I didn't just pull them out my ass (i.e. I can substantiate all the stats, but you know what Twain said about stats).

But since we are already talking about drop rates. Could it be that bubblegum and flower vase drop rates have increased? I've been getting a lot of them recently after a long time of not seeing those items at all. Or was I just lucky? Or is it just because I am playing on battletoads a lot more than previously?

Are you sure about that? I just salvaged and old equip of mine upgraded before the Forge levels were introduced and sure as hell my Forge XP went down (about 1K).

Not entirely sure since I forgot to look at the EXP before salvaging.

Of course not. It's only activated AFTER you walk into battle with ZERO Evade (if your Burden is overly high). After all, you can't possibly have negative evade (what does that even actually mean?)

Actually negative evade translates to monster's accuracy increase in most rpg I know.

I'm saying that there's already a mechanic that preserves evade in some form even with monster chaos upgrades.

How quickly people forget 0.6.1. . . I personally own more Mag/Leg gear than dropped in a million equip drops before that patch.

And you're older than me. I remember buying a Fine Rapier of the Nimble from cmal's shop for 3000, and it was a decent offhand back then. The only reason I keep it around is nostalgia (242 PXP makes it an Average in New World Order).

I actually doesn't. Go back and read old HV patch threads. There have been some insanely brutal nerfs to those kinds of things and I can't think of a single instance in which he has budged.

Honestly, I don't think it really matters that much as long as we can keep a general earning of credits from playing HV instead of a loss.

Personally I've only found one magnificient equip in the last months (and my whole playtime (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif))and while it's not the suffix I wanted, it was a fine piece, currently in use (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif). The rest of my present equipment set has been bought.

The day of patch 0.74, I got my first pony and I have two now. I suppose coincidence but maybe the pony rate was upped? And I get artifacts here and there recently, so I must infer the drop has been upped?

No, as you say, a small sample here does not give out how the whole cake is and works, even though that could seem reasonable. Although maybe their drop's been secretly improved because nobody has whined about that for a while...

I've noted an interesting thing. Names that I don't agree with, I kill first. Like when something that should logically be one race but is another, I kill those before everything else. Heck, I'll let another monster kill me just to get rid of a monster i can't agree with...
