I have a high scavenger level...
I don't get NO crude's..I might get a avarage from time to time but that's about all.
Also luck of the draw time said in done when you do all the math.

Yeah, drop rate and quality feel like they are at an all time low. I keep thinking that I am wasting my time on higher difficulties. My last few exquisites and even two magnificents dropped on normal and were crap, too.

Yes, every night I secretly turn down player hit/cast chance and increase monster damage. If it's a full moon out, I also drop the loot drop chance and quality. Before long you won't be able to hit anything, and the monsters you won't be able to kill will be dropping pieces of lint.

HAH! I'm still right! If Tenb is reducing the chances once a month, he's reducing them less often than he releases patches (on average)! After all, when he patches his patches, it's usually multiple times a day, which isn't consistent with his prior statement!

More often really... Until the recent patches it was like over a month per patch.

Not sure how I feel about this patch...on one hand it doesn't really affect my guy at all...on the other hand...my guy is still weak sauce from the other nerfing...

A couple patches ago it stated that equipment drops would go up, but it didn't at the time, and since then equipment is dropping less frequently and the quality is greatly reduced. Maybe I'm just having a long streak of bad luck, but I haven't gotten anything Superior or better in 2 days and I play on IWBTH. Maybe with the new patches it's better to play on easier levels. You get slightly crappier equipment, but you clear more rounds and have a better chance of getting artifacts per minute played on easier modes (since it's much faster to clear rounds on Normal compared to IWBTH).

The things is, most people aren't interested in statistics. Statistically, gambling is a tax on stupididty (or an entertainment tax, same difference). Statistically, smoking is a crapshoot. Statistically, more people have professed a belief in God (or gods) than not, over a longer period of time. Statistically, more people have died by atheism than all religious wars put together. And you know what? None of these facts matter a damn.

Most people don't care. It's not what's happening *out there*, it's what's happening *to me*.

Besides, if you had a helluva STR and DEX, you should be able to get back on your feet within a turn, anyway. Sure as hell, you shouldn't be knocked on your ass by a pansy-waist Sprite, or a fairy of a Celestial, or a massless Elemental. Maybe by a Giant.
