Rent them, or foster them also as options, where the person loaning them gets some money/items/drugs over tiem

Or allow to turn them into harlots which will remove from Battle but they will increase the other Mobs Happiness.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 3 2013, 08:28) - Accounts will now enter a 24 hour security lockdown under certain conditions. This disables access to MoogleMail, the Equipment and Item Shop, the Shrine, the Hath Exchange, and the credit transfer function. It also disables the Salvage and Reforge options in the Forge.
This happened to me today when I noticed my email used on this site was old, and changed the email address associated with my account. Maybe add a warning about the resulting lockdown to the change email page? I know this probably doesn't occur often enough to add a sort of validation system, but a warning about it would be nice. It may be a little bothersome if one wanted to kill some time or complete some trades afterwards. This post has been edited by PowerOfTwo32: May 6 2013, 12:22

I am not sure if mat price going up due to someone's control is true. I would probably interpret it as an indicator of inflation, which is really common in all kind of game.

All inflation is caused by an increase in the supply of money without any additional increase in the supply of products. Usually, this is caused by a bloody central bank printing a craptonne more cash, while the rest of the economy's productivity is stagnant. Too much money chasing too few goods = price rise. In HV, the central bank does not directly dump more cash into circulation but apportions it out to all the players, who then collectively, as you say, cause inflation. However, HTTP/308 (in this case) has so much cash, and so much purchasing power, that he acts as his own central bank. So yes, prices can increase due to his actions. Not saying they will, but they can.

Not saying that it will happen... but it did happen, on at least two different items (noodles and slaughter bindings) and some other bindings to a lesser degree. To to mention individuals like pyion who buy everything from anyone to mark up in their own shops.

one of the good things of the monster lab is that once you do the initial investment you get a return over time, even if you have no time or will to play for a period of time. you just check on your monsters once in a while and you get gifts.
i think this change is a pain in the ass, this game is already time consuming enough.
do you want to avoid multiple accounts?
it would be easy enough to simply ban them based on patterns.

I was wondering, instead of feeding our monster food/drugs, how about having the crystals break at a slow rate, say 10 a day for each stat; and when monster fall below PL25, they become unnamed. That way, low level monsters aquire an upkeep that makes them inpractical and high level monsters will bring enough material to justify the upkeep cost. Abandoned monsters will eventually disappear from the game allowing the name to be reused by another player.

What about a de-level option where the user regains the crystals and chaos tokens spent?
If the monster is de-leveled below PL25 it's automatically removed from the game and freeing the name for another user to use

I don't get enough crystal drops for even one monster under that scheme. Why should I be prevented from having any monsters at all? Because I don't play as much as you want me to?

My picking 10 crystals a day breakage was arbitrary and just to play with the numbers. Using the shop bot, it would only require 25*10*6 + 10*10*7 or 2300 in credits to purchase one days worth of crystals. I can earn that doing two arena challenges. The players with the high level monsters would hardly notice the cost. The players with the lower level monsters would feel the drag until the monster is around PL 150. I feel that monsters are most efficient at returning material at just under PL 300 so this would be incentive for players to improve their monsters.

If you only did a few arenas a day, would you want to spend 100% of your money on upkeep on monsters?

Feeding the monsters crystals would no longer be an investment but a bother. imho.

We have a new record! We are bitching about the current patch (0.75), and the "next" incoming patch, for 1297 posts; the previous record was patch 0.70 with 1285 posts.

Wrong, 0.73 was 1,404.

I think we'll get there if Tenboro teases another major feature or two. Like say new Ability Tree. Let's breathlessly speculate about the Ability Tree!
