Hm. If I recall correctly tenboro has mentioned it numerous times that food will have 10%, and not every time it specified iwbth in answer or question.(I believe iwbth sneaked in because Chosen does iwbth and is concerned.)
You can ask Spectre for logs, my chatzilla doesn't keep them so far back.
@Evil Scorpio: I know it goes against the name, but stop being a reposting asshole. Have at least the common decency to use new gifs. Oh and HNTI is right, for newbies the 25 elemental crystal upgrades(~2549c, ~40% more from bazaar) is a significant cost

QUOTE(varst @ May 2 2013, 18:51) Hunger -> so your monster will appear in battles. Replenished by (different types of food) Morale -> so your monster will give you presents. Replenished by crystals or happy pills.
Monsters are currently guarantied to give a gift after 50 hours. My monsters almost never win a battle so I only check when I get a guarantied gift. So would I never have to feed my monsters food? Will I only need to toss them a few elemental crystals once in a while?

More than a few. Morale drains at the rate of 1k per day, holds up to 12k, and is replenished 1:1 by number of crystals you'll spend. So either 1k crystals per day or once every 12 days once the upgrade cost goes above 12k(32th elemental, 10th primary.
And food will drain at the same rate(1 per six hours, up to 3 days) for all monsters, though higher PL monsters are more pickier about what food they shall eat.

The actual number's still floating around. Today it's 12k crystals for 15 days, the upgrade scaling's also different. So don't count on any numbers in you guys' arguments. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I cannot understand why Tenb designed Morale this way. Throttling PL-raising speed by making pill very unavailable?
Combination of [very rare pill] + [crystal as drug] only harass existing high-PL monsters.

It is totally reasonable to gather 400000 Crystals to keep Lisis Morale up for another week (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

So we are going to have to give our monsters happy pills so that their morale stays high. Surely an angry monster should kill more than a happy monster.

QUOTE(skillchip @ May 2 2013, 19:07) Tenboro should do the hunger and morale things in parts. Put the stats in place but not allow the drops for a few weeks to get the whining out of the way, or let us get food and pills now so we can be ready when the patch hits to reduce whining then. The "monsters won't appear when starving" part won't actually be live with the patch. QUOTE(Lement @ May 2 2013, 19:16) It's always 10%, no matter the difficulty. Joe is just toying with you. True. Playing on IWBTH will, however, affect the tier of food that drops. Everything drops on every difficulty, but higher difficulties turn up the rate of the second- and third tier food. QUOTE(Lement @ May 2 2013, 19:16) What he doesn't tell is that food will have tiers. So very possibly 10k+ rounds per day for 20 monsters. If it ends up being 10k+ rounds for 20 monsters, I've seriously fucked up the math.

Cool (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Now please tell me Happy Pills are also more common in IWBTH. Normalfarming is so boring (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) But what I fear the most is: 10% Drop chance = 10% less of the usual Drops (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Spoiler text - Highlight to read... and then there was foodfest trollo This post has been edited by Ichy: May 2 2013, 22:52

Why not make the amount of chaos and or crystal upgrades reduce the loss rates.
Also why does giving monsters chaos tokens do nothing for either morale or food?

QUOTE(Bunker Buster @ May 2 2013, 22:44) Wouldn't be the first time. Smartass. Assuming maxed Scavenger and IWBTH at ten monsters/round, on average, 800 rounds would feed 20 750+ monsters for a day. And would leave you with plenty of lower-tier food for the <750 crowd. Numbers subject to change. QUOTE(Ichy @ May 2 2013, 22:49) spoiler Until it's mostly used by a select few "special" individuals and it's rolled into Grindfest. Again.

Any hint on how will the food drop fit into the loot drop rolls? Ie, will it happen after Artifacts/Tokens? Any chance food will take away some of the health pots overload? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by wr4st3r: May 2 2013, 23:10

Food sounds doable but i fear those Pills would be the bottleneck. have enough Food to keep them active but not get any loot? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Well i get 100 hath a day from h@h so buying is no problem but those poor fuckers will suffer and then the Mats price will skyrocket and we rich guys will be getting even richer. /edit: That Food Quality thing is awesome. Now Frith will have to play higher settings, then notice his Scythe would have helped a lot and then whine again (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by Ichy: May 2 2013, 23:21

I would think that many players play mostly arenas for credits so I do hope you are going to take that into account. Max scavenger and 800 10 monster round IWBTH is only something the highest lvl players with forged gear can sanely do. How about a more realistic set of figures for lvl35 scavenger and 20 monsters around lvl 200 playing battletoad arenas.
