I'm wondering if it's possible to get permission from TenB to have a second account that doesn't battle, ever and is shared by a group of TRUSTED people. That way multiple people can help run a free shop and donate half an hour to it every time they're bored.....

Or if this isn't possible, how about someone who is here almost all the time(moderator maybe?) make a specific thread for free shop that is shared. Everyone who are capable to donate and run the section(And didn't have a shop of their own preferably) will then post and reserve a few post in a row(maybe 3 or 4). the thread maker will then link the posts made by the donators to the first post. Beside each links, there would be OPEN/ClOSED mark, and the Closed "section's" link will be strikethroughed.. When a newbie wanted to find some equipment he or she then clicked any open section and try to find the item, and then request the section's owner either through post or pm. And the request should be in forms.

Example:
Name:(The asker's name)
Previous requests:(maybe a quote of last requests?)
Owner:(The owner of the items)
Requests:(Pleasantries;Can I ask for bla bla bla?, thanks and so on)

Then there should be general rules that would be applied to whole threads, rules that comes to mind is:
1. only players below 150/200/250(depends on the consensus) can request for items/equips
2.Each player can only ask x equips maximum from any section every x days, unless stated by the respective section owner.
3. DO NOT request from any CLOSED shop. failure to do so will get you banned from requesting for a month
4.If this is your first request here, state it on the form, for subsequent requests, link/quote the last post you made here.
5.State fully the item codes and names. those who fail to do so will be ignore
6. Do not be rude.
(And other rules)
Also, maybe the sections need to be relatively standardised. For example:
-Shops name(centered)
-Open/Closed(centered)
-Pleasantries, such as "welcome"
-Any extra rules for this section

As for consumables, maybe those who wish to donate can answer their request indipendently.Maybe the thread maker can make a list of potions/monster food donators. So if someone requested for those consumables, maybe any available donator at that time can help. Obviously a limit should be imposed to consumables too

Also, it probably doesnt need to be said that this should be strictly voluntary.

I guess so. This is his site after all. But I don't think my suggestion breaks any rules, unlike making a shared account(which I'm sure it is, at least for now) . My suggestion is kinda similar to what miss Wolfgirl did, where everyone sent the item for donation to her, my suggestion is more of community levels. All the thread maker need to do is managing the first few post, listing the rulebreakers, and loosely enforcing the rule thread(and maybe managing his own section) Maybe those who join the "initiative" need to exert slight effort, but overall it should be nowhere near what miss Wolfgirl need to do, and to lesser extent Mr/miss Elven Ranger who selflessly helped in this thread, reminding ignorant people here about the rules, and also giving free potions when someone ignorant requested them here, despite that miss wolfgirl never offered the potion packs.

So, what do any senpai who have read my suggestion thinks? Is it feasible?

not a bad idea, undoubtly the best way to reduce work for an individual is to do teamwork, maybe some filing here and there but i think it can be debatable... though as someone other pointed out, if the Higher Power says no for whatever reason... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I've been given the goahead from TenB to create a shared account that can be accessed by a group of trusted players. This would mean that the work of running a free shop could be shared between multiple people - each donating a little of their time when they are free. I would be interested to know how many people think they could help out?
