No it was not. Princess Luna was displeased that I had to cut off a substantial portion of her mane, and almost sent me to the moon. But if she had done that, the rest of the pony army would rise up against Equestria and all ponies would suffer forevermore under eternal evil and darkness. Without me, the corrupted pony army is not controllable.

Especially corrupted Derpy... everywhere she steps, the ground fractures for a mile in every direction, and most ponies die in that wide area under her destructive footsteps... she's typically kept inside a containment field, but...

You're right. The Orbital Corruption Cannon is worse. It vaporizes everything in a thousand-mile radius. It's a very powerful weapon. All the ponies together generate the corruption pulse.
