Just wanted to point out sth. About bleeding with DW, I use ethereals shortsword (of battlecaster know) and wakizashi of balance. Using two weapons with bleeding proc gets you:
the % damage of the weapon with the highest % damage,
a duration in turns that is the average from both,
the proc chance is the addition of the proc chance of both weapons.
Resuming, it has the benefit of a higher chance of causing bleeding, and bleeding can stack until x5 since that patch. A good combination of both weapons can let you inflict bleeding x5 against a single foe for a long long time.
Currently I have with DW: Bleeding Wound
38% on mainhand hit
14% dmg for 5 turns
(2H weapons are more suited for bleeding wounds, that's clear, but with Nitten the same happens and the effect is great)
It sounds like DW with bleeding proc would be better suited to ring of blood challenges with only one enemy. Does all that bleeding on one monster really help when there are several others beating on you? Wouldn't it be more efficient with AP and taking out enemies faster?

Also if you use DW or Nitten, I think it's better to have an offhand weapon of balance with a high parry bonus rather than of nimble. You get a bit less of parry, but more hits with your offhand and a higher critical bonus.
This seems like something I might try if I get the right weapon.
My parry is quite good (usually close to my actual stat of 40%) but my offhand accuracy seems to be quite bad. How much would 'of balance' improve that?
e.g. Here are my stats from a single round of grindfest (on IWBTH)
Accuracy: 33/33 (100.00%), Crits: 7/33 (21.21%), Offhand: 13/33 (39.39%)
Avg hit dmg: 1212.58|0.00, Avg crit dmg: 1611.29|0.00, Avg dmg: 1297.15|0.00

Hits taken: 18/53 (33.96%), Missed: 5/53 (9.43%), Evaded: 17/53 (32.08%), Blocked: 0/53 (0.00%), Parried: 10/53 (18.87%), Resisted: 0/53 (0.00%), Crits taken: 1/18 (5.56%)
