I wonder whether Lightning Network (LN) donation will be available in the future? (maybe someone had already asked about this before? I don't know, at least search returned nothing) BTC has very limited blocksize (1MvB), so that recently on-chain transaction backlog/congestion is quite serious: [ jochen-hoenicke.de] https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weightwhich means high miner fees, and longer/unpredictable confirmation delays. Then as you can see, Jochen Hoenicke himself is an example of accepting LN donation: [ jochen-hoenicke.de] https://jochen-hoenicke.de/lightning/It seems to work quite well. I have also heard things like BTCPay Server. Also, lightning node can be configured as a Tor hidden service: [ github.com] https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd/blo...figuring_tor.md (in that case, invoices should contain a routing hint of a directly connected peer) Non-custodial LN wallet can be easy-to-use as well, just like the Phoenix wallet made by ACINQ. QUOTE(ssdeeplv1 @ Apr 17 2021, 19:51) I wonder whether Lightning Network (LN) donation will be available in the future? Probably, though the donation backend would need some fundamental changes since donation tracking is TX-based, and there are higher-priority things that need doing, especially since BCH is still available and usable. As for the mempool situation right now, a lot of hashpower dropped out due to a power outage in China, so blocks have been 30-40% slower the last couple of days. Worst-case, it'll be a couple of weeks until the difficulty readjusts.

May I ask a donation question ?Did it only support Bitcoin(BTC)Transfer network in this BTC Address or I can use other transfer network like (BNB) (BSC) (ETH)? Because now Transaction Fee was: 0.0005 BTC in (BTC)Transfer network. I really sad about this (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) .

Options are at the top of https://e-hentai.org/bitcoin.php.

Could I ask for a bit of help on this: I want to donate around 0.0009 BTC, I already have placed BTC into the EH wallet. With the SnapShot with BTCReference. After placing in 0.0009 or even 0.0007 BTC, nothing happens after clicking on "Apply Donation" This post has been edited by the man002: Jul 3 2021, 02:25

It will auto update so you can see how much BTC you are using.

Would happily donate but trying to buy bitcoin requires giving away more personal information than my bank has on me. (and information I don't have like passport/photo ID etc).
Its a shame something like paygarden cant be used, paying them in iTunes vouchers is much easier.

How exactly can I use a Bitcoin ATM to make a donation. Do I show the magic box the QR code and then feed it money? Is it that simple? I'm asking because originally I tried to use an online Bitcoin wallet but every single one I tried requires nothing sort of a goddamn colonoscopy. So the fact that the ATM solution seems so simple is a bit off putting. Keep in mind that 20 USD is a significant amount of money where I'm from, so I would rather not find out if I'm wrong the hard way.

If the ATM doesn't require any KYC hoop-jumping it should be as simple as showing it the QR code and feeding it money, yeah. Just make sure to not send BCH to the BTC legacy address, which people have been known to do despite the BIG RED BOLD UPPERCASE WARNING not to do so. Note that the ATM will charge some amount of fees, so if you feed it exactly $20 it would actually send somewhat less; while the site's rate is somewhere between 1% and 10% above the "real world rate", you should verify that it actually sends enough.

I just opened up an account on BitStamp and have my BTC ready. Now if I'm looking at it correctly the address to send the donation to my e-hentai wallet can't be added on BitStamp until after a full 24 hours to change the current address on my BitStamp account. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong?

Okay, so after doing more reading I found out about the withdrawal option. But now BitStamp is charging 0.0005 fee? That's nearly half than the $50 of BTC I bought and I can't transfer unless I buy more BTC! This post has been edited by SuperDef: Dec 6 2021, 02:10

BTC is known for having a ridiculously high transaction fee these days. Unless you are doing a huge donation, we generally suggest using BCH (Bitcoin Cash) instead.

Nah, just $40 for the Silver Star and the probably whatever is left over as donation. I'm gonna try again. Is there anything I should know about when I make this process? Like information for tax forms. Also I'm not planning to keep the Bitstamp account so I want to deactivate it. I just wanna know if the likelyhood of confronting the IRS over buying and withdrawing cryptocurrency. This post has been edited by SuperDef: Dec 6 2021, 12:26

It depends on the country that you are living. For most places on Earth, buying and donating cryptos to this site shouldn't get you into legal trouble, but you will need to do the research yourself if you want to be sure I'm afraid.

I'm dealing with another issue. This time I bought $50 in BCH, but now BitStamp won't allow me to use the address to withdrawal into my e-hentai wallet. It kept giving me this new bech32 address and I don't know where it will go to.
[redacted]
Any advice?
Also, it seems to have no problem with the BTC address, but I'm not gonna withdrawal a measly $7 because of the fee.

That's a legacy (2017-era) BCH address. I checked it for you, and it matches the cashaddr format BCH address on your account. I'm not sure why Bitstamp shows it as the legacy format, but they are equivalent and it will work just fine if you send to that. (I redacted the address for privacy reasons.)

Thanks, I appreciate that. As I'm going through the process to withdrawal these funds I stumbled upon ANOTHER problem. Suddenly I can't make a withdrawal unless I create an Open Order. I tried doing that, it didn't work as I tried to follow the instructions, so I wasted $20 of BTC for nothing. I just want to donate some money to unlock the feature to have a Private gallery. I'm really trying not to fuck up so I can have some amount of peace, but going through all this is really frustrating because of these sudden curveballs of requirements. I don't know what to do anymore. My only options is to send a email complaint to Bitstamp and hopefully get a refund on that $20. This post has been edited by SuperDef: Dec 8 2021, 13:05
