QUOTE(x0006xp @ Jan 26 2017, 17:50) also i plan on using my mastercard (is that possible?) to buy the bitcoins. yes QUOTE on coinbase.com if i use a mastercard to buy bitcoins can i transfer the bitcoins i get from that and use it on e-hentai? yes QUOTE what tabs on coinbase.com do i need to use to be able to sent btc to e-hentai? Tabs? Like which pages to visit? Buy/Sell and Send/Request. IIRC you need to first provide ID to Coinbase (at least, I did, but I'm not in Canada), and then they make you wait like 2-3 days or something. Maybe. It's been a few months since I did it and I don't fully remember. Anyway, once your account's fully activated and your ID was accepted, go to Buy/Sell. "Bitcoin" should already be selected, so hit "Add new" under Payment Method. Then hit "Add Payment Method" -> "Credit/Debit Card (3D-Secure)" and enter your details. It accepts Visa and Mastercard. Back on Buy/Sell, enter the amount you want to donate. For 100 USD you'll want to donate just over 132 CAD. I'd go a little higher for the fees in transactions. Coinbase takes a small fee but that'll be added to what you ask. Hit accept and let the payment go through. Assuming it went through, you should then have some Bitcoin in your Coinbase BTC Wallet. QUOTE what info from e-hentai do i need to supply to coinbase.com to send the bitcoins properly from coinbase.com? Just your wallet address. QUOTE on the donation section on e-hentai there's something called "Your Wallet Address:" and under that are a bunch of random numbers and letters and a qr code, do i need to/ where do i enter those random numbers and letters into coinbase.com to send the bitcoin i have from coinbase.com to e-hentai? Assuming you already have bitcoin in your BTC Wallet on Coinbase, go to Coinbase and to Send/Request. Paste the wallet address in the input box for sending, enter the amount your want to send (presumably all you have) and then hit send. Go back to https://e-hentai.org/bitcoin.php (refresh) and there should be an incoming bitcoin transaction that's pending. Click the link and it'll open up a page on blockchain.info. Wait until there are 3 confirmations (took mine around 10 minutes) and then come back to your donations page. It should then have the confirmed transaction there. If not, give it some time (I'd say wait an hour or so, though if it's not gone through after a day, PM Tenboro). Once it's confirmed there'll be those bitcoins in your available balance. Type 100 into the "Apply BTC to Donation" box and "Apply Donation". You should get the gold star. Again, if it doesn't happen immediately, give it some time.

Toronto has (had?) some bitcoin ATMs. Managed to find and use one when i was there in 2012 (so it may be old info).

If you're in Toronto go to the Deloitte building downtown, you can buy from an ATM for only 1% fee; all cash. PM me if you need more details.

cool! i just tried sending you a pm (my first pm sent on here). no idea if it went through tho. if you didn't get my pm, then my main question is that i think my friend has an android phone. so does he need to download an app to use that bitcoin atm at Deloitte? if so, what is the app that he should use? thank you. Hey guys,
I've been using coinbase, but being in Australia they have a max of $100/week on mastercard... So i have gone tp bitstamp to get my bittylicious coins. My previous coinbase transfers to EH were all confirmed within 10-15mins
I have transferred from bitstamp to EH for the first time, and this transaction is taking longer than usual to be confirmed. Why? Is this just coincidence, or is there an actual reason for the transfer delay?

In general you can pay a priority fee (about 0.0001 BTC if i'm not mistaken) for a transaction to be resolved faster. Coinbase may be using the transactions with the fee whilst bitstamp/bittylicious may be making transactions without a fee.
On a full BTC client you can choose to pay or not pay a transaction priority fee.
A non-priority transaction may take even a couple of days to complete. But it should complete at some point. (The idea that a transaction happened is the fact that enough BTC nodes recognise the transaction as happened, i.e. that the majority of node that EH sees recognise the transaction).

... days @.@ Geez louise. Kinda wish i ticked the "instant transaction" box now. Oh well. Learning curves, i guess. PS. Bittylicious was an adjective to describe delicious bitcoins. Bitstamp is where i got the bitcoins.

Looking at your transaction, the fee is high enough that it would usually be confirmed right away, but there seems to be a bit of a backlog on the blockchain right now. Usually clears out after a few hours, it'll confirm eventually.

Senpai noticed me o.o' Haha. Thank you, the transfer was cleared when i checked my phone again at lunchtime. I've spent it already, and still need to harvest 0.29 more bitcoins though x'D I wanna get 2 more 1yr servers, and bump my donation level from tristar to quinstar (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Kinda off topic but... buying bitcoins in a currency outside of EUD and USD is really difficult. It was so much easier to donate back in the day when all i had to do was punch in my card details. Why did you decide to change the donations to only accept BTC?

Because the things most people want to use ostensibly don't accept "porn services". The threshold for when they start to investigate that and demand all kinds of documentation is quite low, somewhere around 2500 EUR/year.

I see... so it's paypal and their ultra-right-wing policies that are to blame. Still, it'd be nice if there was a bank account i could transfer funds to, but if it isn't possible, then it isn't possible i guess :/ [rantcry] Spoiler text - Highlight to read... The trouble with BTC, coinbase has a buy limit of $100 AUD/week (about $75 USD), so gathering BTC this way is too slow. I've looked at other BTC vendors, and none of them had credit card options in AUD. They also wouldn't accept bank transfer in AUD. The only vendor that did this, was bitstamp.
With bitstamp, the bank charges a $25 transaction fee for overseas transfer. With any other vendor, the bank would have charged me the XE conversion rate +5%, plus a conversion fee of $25, plus the overseas tansfer fee of $25.
And this is without mentioning the rediculous levels of identification you have to go through, simply to set up an account with a BTC vendor.
See what i mean? Bitcoin is either so fucking expensive to buy in AUD, or so fucking slow to collect, it's nigh on impossible to donate from Australia... Also, there are no BTC ATMs in Aust.
Anyways... i know i'm just complaining right now, but yeah, i kinda think you should know how painful this BTC palava is for people outside of the EU and US. To give you an idea, that transaction that went through today, would have been done way back on the 31st of Dec if i didn't have to go through all this BTC crap :/
So please, i beg you, please please please, if at all possible, please find an easier way for non-EU and non-US users to donate Q_Q [/rantcry]

That sounds far more like a problem with Australia than with Bitcoin.

Well, it seems that Circle no longer is a Bitcoin vendor, but you can still send money through them. However, I'm not sure how anonymous you would be in sending money, and I haven't given their TOU a gander, so this site may very be in violation. I'm tempted to email them and ask how anonymous it would be and hope they wouldn't think I'm being shady, or perhaps I can have someone I know create an account and send them money. For now, back to Coinbase. A 15ยข or 1.49% fee isn't steep by any means. UPDATE: You can't send money to a Bitcoin address on Circle either (or at least I can't). Only emails and phone numbers can be used for sending money on Circle. And I was able to test out sending money to myself, and the email will say that either your first and last name, your first name and last initial, or the email associated with the account. Right now, all of those are a bit too identifying for my tastes, so I'll see if I can get something else connected to my Circle account, otherwise it's gonna be Coinbase form here on out. Also, I skimmed over the User Agreement, and it seems the only thing that Circle would be upset about is using a fake identity, using money to buy illegal things (weapons, drugs, etc.), sending money around on the Dark Web, or using Circle in any way with gambling sites. I don't believe this website falls into any of those categories, but I'll take a look at the whole agreement when I get around to it. From what it looks like now though, there's no word against donating/sending money to any adult websites. Did a quick search through the User Agreement, (the one for the US at least) and after searching the word "porn" found this: QUOTE 17. Restricted Activities
In connection with your use of Services, you hereby agree that you will not: . . . . -upload, display or transmit any messages, photos, videos or other media that contain illegal goods, pornographic, violent, obscene or copyrighted images or materials for use as an avatar, in connection with a payment or payment request, or otherwise." Possibly might be an issue, but given that it's only mentioned once in the entire agreement, I'm not so sure. penguin edit: quote fix This post has been edited by xboxboy939495: Feb 22 2017, 02:49
