Ok fuck this bitcoin shit! I've looked, searched tried blah blah and refuse to add my back account or add an account to accept stuff from somewhere else that needs more accounts... Can you guys not just make some direct donation or straight up from paypal or other direct sources where none of this back account or superfluous making of accounts is necessary. I would love to donate what little I can spare but simply put the way it is now I am prevented from supporting my favorite doujin/cg/etc website.
Also yes I know of the fuckups and whatever from reading the forum that for some reason spawned this silly bcoin idea... regardless it I'm sure dissuades others beside me from donating.

It's still better to get some donation through than being afraid that paypal, payza, alertpay or whatever other "credible, ethical and legal business" (whatever that means) will close the account at any time. Bitcoin is actually extensively used. It's not like, say, dogecoin.

Yup, some donations beats no donations. Cool thing about bitcoins, you can just cash them out wherever. Oh, did you hear about Payza/Alertpay? They just got themselves [ blog.payza.com] banned from the US again, with tons of money [ blog.payza.com] confiscated. That's what they get for keeping me waiting half a year to get the rest of the site's money. (I'm sure it's related somehow. You know, karma-wise.)

Try Coinbase. I've advocated it several times throughout the thread, and it really works. I'm guessing from your rant of having to create numerous accounts that you tried MtGox? Yeah, that happened to me too...the only way to get money through them in the US is to jump through a bunch of hoops. Basically, I could've gone to Money Gram to BitInstant to MtGox and then FINALLY here...loosing money to fees along the way no doubt. All Coinbase needs is a bank account, and that really shouldn't be a problem. Their fees are small too. I bought $55 in BTC and paid only 85 cents in fees. Granted, they take about a week to process and you thus risk losing some money, but it's small compared to alternatives through MtGox. Plus, Tenboro accounts for this volatility.

Yeah I did look at MtGox... another account I will eventually forget ever having. I did look at some others and overall looked at bitcoin and overall now possess an extremely poor outlook at this silly indecisive currency that is as stable as a stranded small fishing boat in the ocean. The entire freaking hoops part is too much I ain't a loin from a circus... *sigh* I would rather not have to add my bank account to anything, more so another account that will in itself need another account. Is there not some just buy through card/paypal shit send bc without all these bc numbers themselves? This post has been edited by Spectre: Dec 29 2013, 08:44

Its better then having to wait a month, or not receiving it at all.

my broker does it within the hour, but they charge a fee. I rang them up today to ask a question for the first time and I found out that they were a woman. I know its sexist, but I had assumed they were male, Frankie is a unisex name though these days.

US banks and payment processors tend to dislike doing business with businesses that sell BTC. They can't just plop a PayPal button on there to sell you the coins, because their funds would get frozen and their account terminated. Also, the account verification stuff on many exchanges is a requirement due to AML/KYC regulations, making for more hoops. It's not really fair to blame BTC for all that.

Coinbase does charge fees...a whopping 85 cents though... There is a way to do instant purchases through them, but you have to have "complete identity verification". It has you fill out some basic demographic info (Name, Address, Last 4 #s of SSN, DOB) and then you take a survey. There's a list of questions supposedly verifiable from public records. For instance, it asks me how long I've lived at my given address, where my social was issued, stuff like that...and for whatever reason, I'm failing one or more of these questions. I don't know how...I'm answering everything honestly. Well, whatever...it's a single-step purchase that gets me the BitCoins. Better than all the other methods I tried before it. Plus, I'm thinking the fees might be steeper with an instant purchase.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I just see you can buy many things with bitcoins, but if you cash it out you can't

You're Andy Dufresne, or better Randall Stephens, from Shawshank Redemption. And Tenboro figured it out (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

You don't have to use MTGox to make a donation, its possible for you to generate a wallet and purchase bitcoins via other methods to send to that wallet. Once coins are acquired you can PM Tenboro and after a few days you can donate directly wallet to wallet.

Does anyone know how long does it typically take for the bitcoin donation to be approved by the admin? I have a suspicion that Tenboro is just busy, so it is taking a bit long. However, I just wanna ask to be sure. Much appreciated. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) donations are supposed to be credited automatically unless your doing wallet to wallet in which case you have to pm tenboro to have that set up. the Ehwiki and the donations page on your g hentai home page should tell you all that.

I guess I should have specified that. Yes, I already transferred the donation, after Tenboro gave me a bitcoin address to transfer to. That takes a bit of time yes?

When Tenboro reads your message, and verifies your donation, he will credit it. You send him a message that you donated right?

Yes, indeed, I did send it around 2 days ago. If that is the case, then I will just wait. Thanks for the response. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
