Hmm... you may reconsider that. When 1000 flies tell you, that feces do taste good, you care to take a bite?

Feces is unsanitary. If it was sanitary, I'd eat it. Then again, I am the devouring chaos and will eat just about anything.

If it moves, it is edible!

Really?

I haven't found a mage who ran around in cotton of protection.

I wonder how long I'd last in THAT (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Compared to plate, cotton and leather's usability is infinitesimal. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

...ehhahhehhaihihe.

I know your problems with drops, but rq due having to cure at least once per BT round? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Damn, as a mage to me that sounds more hilarious than any of Prince's posts.

I know melees aren't used to not have regen II cover more per round than monsters take off, but that's darn amusing. That said, it may be a valid concern due having to cure certainly lowers melee kill speed.

Bunker Buster: I agree that elemental weapons are inherently inferior for light and heavy, which isn't that great. But it is called a penalty for reason I think (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

teddy.bear: To get burden under 75 use feather...nevermind, can I have that useless legendary demonic estoc of slaughter?

I know, right?

As a mage, I'm used to casting cure 3-4 times a round (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I suppose we should replace cotton into something that, say, gives MDB, and magic crit rate, but no pmi nor crush/pierce/slash mit. And call it, nudity of destruction xD

After all, both heavy and light have variants that give those stats, why don't cloth?

Mmm...I wasn't sure how to feel about this patch.

I'm a heavy melee. My PMI is only 58.8% and my gear is semi ok I think. All Power armor, 2 of warding, 3 of slaughter. Ethereal axe of slaughter and a buckler of protection.

So far I'm actually liking it. I do the hourlies on IWTBH. I do the first 5 to 7 arenas on IWTBH. I can do around 35 rounds of the Arena level 'The Twilight' on IWTBH which I couldn't pre patch. And, I just successfully did FSM on IWTBH in about 800 rounds using only 2 mana pots and 1 spirit pot in about 12 minutes. (Utilizing full enchants). And the only spells I used were SoL, cure, silence, regen. And even then, I barely used cure.

Keep up the good work Ten!

It's one that doesn't necessarily work in the context of the game. I'd prefer there'd be no "cap" on evasion reduction, with the burden, along with a coefficient, serving as a divisor on it instead of a subtractor. (ex. effective_evade = [max 1.00, ((coefficient+burden_grace_period)/(coefficient+burden))^2] * evade.)

Troll suggestion: Just roll burden and interference into one stat and work out the meltdown resulting from that (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Power gets only a small amount, but also loses action speed unless it has a rare prefix that enhances speed by an even smaller amount. (Or, just remove Burden, but ramp up Interference, while keeping my action speed suggestion.)

After all, power armor not only enhances your power, but also your movement speed and whatnot, just usually not so much in a defensive way, unless you're Iron Man or Samus or....

But it should still interfere with magic - unless it was specifically designed to not impede spellcasting, like with arcanist for shade - maybe something from 40k as inspiration?

Besides, that would fit with the general theme of T3 armor not really weighing you down - phase is ephemeral, shade is woven from shadows, and power armor not only holds itself up, it enhances your strength, so it literally shouldn't weigh you down (maybe power armor loses all burden when worn as a complete set, or at least all connected when touching the ground? i.e. boots, no burden. power armor? burden. boots, leggings, and armor? no burden. helmet, boots, and leggings? burden on helmet, no burden on boots and leggings.)

Meh, I don't have any idea on how to balance all this stuff. I suppose if I really wanted to, I could take a long look at the intended fighting style associated with each armor, and suggest modifications based on them, but I don't feel like it right now.

Power armor should come with some anti-parry, because it is enhances your power, so you should be able to break through monsters parry.

I think the penalty for crit should stay right where it is. If you remove or push back the penalty you would be getting rid of the main disadvantage of too much burden. Nobody should expect to outfit themselves like a tank and still have the same crit as light. Maybe now some people will pick light over heavy, and people might actually start using kevlar.

And lol at removing burden/interference from elemental weapons. That is the main difference between elemental weapons and ethereals, you might as well just merge them at that point as they would be the exact same thing once you level them (well, elementals would be better because they get the edb bonus too).

As things stand now you get 1 troll eth and 7 (6 now) decent elementals. Would be better if one could pick and choose from any of them instead of just waiting for the eth to come around. And eth would still have an advantage over elemental, it would come with void damage instead of the weapon specific type, while elemental weapons have the advantage of being a specific element instead of playing roulette at level 10

spend element crystals on forging something to "attune" to specific elements, giving a greater chance of getting it a specific element to level 10
