I posted this a long time ago, this was something that should have been done to differentiate the monster classes. Unfortunately, with the AGI change, things have taken a step backwards instead of forward. On the other hand, faster types (Avion, Sprites) should get more Evade per upgrade, something like 0.75% or even 1%. It's pretty easy to make logical adjustments based on monster stats.
Some ideas on this:
1) Resist Buff: High Wis monsters (Celestials, Elementals) should get higher Resist. Nerf: Low Wis monsters (Giant, Undead, Beast) should get less Resist from the upgrades.
2) Evade Buff: Avion, Sprites Nerf: Giant, Undead, Mech, Dragonkin
3) Health Buff: Giant, Anthropod, Undead Nerf: Avion, Daimon, Sprite
4) Anti-Evade/Parry (I'm linking this upgrade to DEX, could be STR) Buff: Humanoid, Reptilian, Daimon, Beast Nerf: Dragonkin, Celestial
5) Anti-Resist/Block (Anti-Resist should probably link to INT, not sure about Block) Buff: Celestial, Humanoid Nerf: Giant, Undead, Beast
6) Damage Buff: Undead, Mechanoid, Giant, Dragonkin Nerf: Sprite, Elemental, Celestial

As things were initially it was very hard to max everything, so if they'd been left unchanged we wouldn't have seen a max everything army. Instead the drop rate for Chaos tokens was increased and the Tokenize perks were added. So.
I think I like the update overall.
Action Speed and Agility: On the one hand I'm no longer guaranteed to get all my buffs in before I'm attacked. On the other hand I don't seem to get utterly raped so quickly. Although that might be a combo of speed and chaos token changes, I'm not sure. Also, getting a lvl2 ET is much easier now given how ticks are working, but I still maintain the amount of mana returned is not enough. Definitely an improvement though, no question. High Five.
Finally Soul->Void conversion for old weapons. Nice.
I'm kinda sad about shield armor, but mostly because it was something nice to find in the midst of all the crap. I won't complain about the loss.
Plate armor doesn't drop in as many worthless suffixes? Nice. Cool new prefixes for all armor types? Nice. Chaos token damage reduction thing. Nice. Monster mitigation changes? Nice. Haste change was undone in 0.74.1. Nice.
Resistance is still absurd and infuriating, and thus I assume working as intended.

QUOTE 1 7 You have been defeated. 1 6 Homicidalsage hits you for 1567 slashing damage. 1 5 Rain Lindwurm hits you for 4825 crushing damage. 1 4 Aasta hits you for 5097 crushing damage. 1 3 Succubus hits you for 3027 slashing damage. 1 2 You gain the effect Hastened. 1 1 You cast Haste.
