QUOTE(Hoheneim @ Feb 26 2013, 05:42) This patch didn't make Shade more attractive in the least.
I've been using Shade ever since I started playing, regardless of the various changes in the game mechanics, and after this patch my survivabilty went literally down the drain.
I've noticed the exact opposite (at least for arena). My survivability went way up. IW/Grindfest over 150 rounds seems harder now for some reason though.

A monster needs only be level 1000 to unlock all chaos upgrades, which is pretty cheap. Crystal upgrades only become more expensive after level 1000 and those expensive upgrades do nothing. What I say is therefore correct and expensive crystal upgrades do nothing compared to cheap Chaos upgrades. It's also correct that high level monsters are no more powerful than level 1000 monsters. The best monster would be a level 1000 Giant with max Chaos, max Strength, max Endurance, and bit of Dexterity and Agility to make up its level. Such a monster would significantly powerful than the level 1455 Eila while the crystal costs would only be a small fraction of Eila's costs. The fact that you can create a more powerful monster at much lower cost indicates something is very wrong.

Essentially there's a monster ability cap around level 1000 so why didn't you apply a hard level cap? It would have saved me a lot of trouble.
As it is I'm spending millions of crystals on upgrades that are doing absolutely nothing!
I can't help but think I'm being played for a fool!

QUOTE(T_Starrk @ Feb 26 2013, 15:49) As long as the higher roll of agility and dexterity gets to stay on my equipment as the new stat then I'm fine with this (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . Oh please, PMI got nerfed for light too, lol. I can still get 75.7 PMI with my plate/power set, yes, I still consider that high. It's also far easier to get higher damage with heavy (I have much higher damage with 3 power/2 plate than I do with full shade). Yes, you had more burden than light before the patch but it was still too low to matter. I could get 14% evade with my heavy set and had no other consequences from burden (this is not right to me, it makes heavy vastly superior to light. Why do you think heavy is so popular?). Now heavy users actually have to make trade-offs with is a good thing. I have 69.6% PMI, no evade, no block and 77.7 burden with my heavy set. Since the last patch many monsters are evading my attacks and my spells are missing the targets. So it's not so easy as before to go full power as I contantly have to cast cure to avoid spark almost every round. So instead to do my arenas on IWBTH difficulty, I'm doing them on BT instead. On that difficulty no bigger problems for me. But the game has become harder with the new changes and stronger monsters.

Kinda sounds like the standard game play of a Mage, cast a spell then cast cure (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Stupid "Cloak of the Fallen" has got me where I'm not overly fond of the color blue (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) On a brighter note, I do like the new Riddlemaster routine (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Before, it was "maybe I won't drop that potion because the Riddlemaster will be showing up soon" Now's it a surprise, except for the round two (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Ten, as much fun as trolling the guy may be, I do kinda think allowing those that get a hard-on for competing about having the strongest monster(s) to actually get something out of it would be kind of... nice.
You already got a suggestion about adding a new difficulty level beyond IWBTH that just doubles the difficulty again, but how about this: Add a new difficulty in which monster damage / health / etc scale more with increased strength/... Would suggest giving it some actual benefits (increased loot quality or whatever) to get people to play it. But make it actually bones hard. Would give some actual incentive to create really high level monsters and there's the nice added effect where the players who can afford to make them would essentially be trolling each other. Hey, just make the/one of the benefits of the mode a big increase in crystal drops to force them to play it (and get raped by their own monsters).

I'm still wondering what will happen to Soul Res. And in the future, AGI. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

QUOTE(aloc1234 @ Feb 25 2013, 22:51) Well... if you are referring to PLVL, yes it does, for every 25 Plvl after 500 it gives an 1% bonus.
If only it were every 10, but I guess "beggars can't be choosers".

You could also add some new arenas for lvl300+/350+/400+ players, where monsters were much stronger in order to satisfy those players who think that the game is too easy. And to make it even harder, those arenas can only be fought in IWBTH difficulty.
