Why would you add something that does nothing for light armor though? Light armor proficiency is already agility. Light armor already has more agility than cloth and heavy. The logic here is missing.

Ahem. My thoughts after reading this thread.

- While there are some obvious things that are on to-do list(monster lab specific class advantages such as giants versus avions and sprites, AGI, maging change), this patch overall has some pretty interesting effects, most notably action speed no longer being broken(and that's awesome). I certainly like how it changes melee(less dependent on constantly renewing buffs), but whether this is a buff or not seems rather strange - overall time consumption has increased? Plate no longer getting elemental mitigations is probably best change for players in general in the long term for them.
I'm surprised at the lack of complaints from lights, but so many of them were probably already maxed AGI that it wouldn't matter - though making the light's go-to stat weaker is a bit of ouch.

Also, the story with Prot reminds me of 6.0. Well, something was gonna happen eventually(usually tooltip goes), though I think the Regen change combined with haste change was what slammed melees here.

- People should take lessons from TheTornPrince about complaining. His complaints are easy to read, understand and simple to the eyes while lot of whining in this thread grates even if it is more valid. I'm amused by the contrast of some complaining about the game being several times harder than before while others that it is several times easier.

HTTP, with halved time taken and 1.5x damage, monsters will do now 50% more damage per tick than before. However, unlike before where it was at higher level where both players and monsters were both speedcapped(ie 1:1 turns) it is now lower level players who match typical monster speed and higher DWers who can take a bit ahead - not too much though with the speed chaos. Now, consider the following instead: the numbers of gifts is a function on the number of deaths, which is a function on the difficulty and number of players, which depends on the renown and enjoyability of game. Instead of having players die more often, you could focus on getting either more players or having them play longer?

MikukoAya, you in particular but newbies in general were what? 120? a month ago. Given the effort it takes to reach 120 you hadn't played much, and won't have played now all that much given how fast IWBTH hourlies grant exp(I have not done more than 3 since level 115 or so), so expecting to do as well as people who have spent far more time both in span(and time is literally money with ML, too) and effort(years, many hours per day? Some.) is a bit ludicrous. A month won't be even enough time for crystarium, level 7 archeologist or level 500 monster to pay off which leads to both several times linear and geometric advantage.

- I certainly like the changes to scrolls(no double scrolling, yes, but the effects save mana with greater effects now) and, more importantly decoupling buffs/nerfs and turns. Setting own hotkeys up for them isn't really such a brother tbh. Moreso about Waki/Dagger.

I don't expect to do as well as people. You guys get me all wrong there.

However, I would like to see my build not get nerfed every single time there is a patch. I don't know if it is my bad luck but every time I switch styles, it gets nerfed. I switch to a more agi heavy build and agi gets nerfed to hell. (I was only using agi for the action speed really and like 1 or 2 percent of evade with the HA burden reduction bonus.) Now, agi has become completely useless to me. Dexterity does everything agi does and more now for me.


Every 25 points raises Attack Accuracy, Attack Crit Rate, and base Parry chance by 1%

Every 50 points raises Attack Crit Rate by 1%

So I can spend half the points for the same thing plus a bunch of other stuff. Meaning that realistically, agi is near useless now for me. Even at double cost, dex does more than agi for me now.

If I was light or cloth, yes, agi would still give me the evade boost, but...


Every 25 points raises Magic Accuracy and base Resist chance by 1% >.>

Why not just raise my resist and parry...


Well, that was my first time fighting a boss in RE 0_o

On a more relevent note, this patch is ...interesting. I'm using less magic overall due to buffs lasting 'longer', but I'm curing a crapton more and sparking more frequently due to regen 2 only ticking every 2-3 turns. :|

Nope, players do 50%/75% damage per tick too.

No, most players are at 150, with some of which will be at 175.
Monsters are at most 150.

Speed-wise, it's of little difference from before:
players as fast as high-PL monsters (w/ CT upgrade);
players slightly faster than mid-PL monsters (w/ CT upgrade).

AFAICT, (Quality) Shield Armor of the (Suffix) will continue to function as designed. I just hope TenB will continue allowing Shielding Runes to drop, otherwise we will never be able to upgrade them.

(Quality) Shielding Plate Armor of the (Suffix), however, will only offer Block bonus when used in conjunction with a Shield (i.e. only in 1H fighting style). I think AGI should boost your regen 5x each point you put inside. Also it should reduce burden, let's say -1 every five points. Once you reach under 0 in burden, you gain a constant haste and your body's starting to disappear.

This sounds just fine to me.
AGI won't be useless anymore and complains about
monsters parrying/resisting too much would be answered.
Something like 10 AGI = + 0.5% counter-resist and counter-parry would do.

Besides monsters already have counter parry/counter-resist upgrades.
We should be able to counter parrying and resisting just like we can counter evade with 100%+ accuracy.
