QUOTE(Evil Scorpio @ Feb 23 2013, 21:32) Keep calm and griind on. That's all we can do.
That's not all we can do. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) We can just stop grinding, or not?

I like the change to Protection, but … QUOTE(T_Starrk @ Feb 23 2013, 11:57) I know getting everything to line up right (rolls, suffix, prefix) will probably be hard as fuck so I'll probably stick with my current equips for awhile. Yeah, we're going to curse Snowflake a lot more in the equipment thread now. As for the other changes … whatever, I don't care. This post has been edited by aurabolt: Feb 24 2013, 03:37

It seems that whenever I oneshot an entire group of monsters, time does not pass. For example, say I have Regen up and I oneshot the round without monsters being able to act, Regen does not tick (my health does not rise), and the duration counter remains the same; I've had this happen where I can do it 3 or 4 times in a row without time passing until something finally survives or resists a spell, then when I finish it off, time finally kicks back in. Is this an intended mechanic with the action time changes or a bug?

QUOTE(Laboq @ Feb 23 2013, 16:36) Meh, a dagger won't do it for me. When I get a Legendary Agile Shade Breastplate of the Shadowdancer, then I willl love this patch (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . Until then, it's okay I guess. I got a couple good plate drops today so I'm content (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 04:33) - Base Action Speed is now fixed at 100 time units. QUOTE - Haste (normal) was reduced to +25% action speed. Wait, so Scroll of Swiftness is actually worth using now? This post has been edited by aurabolt: Feb 24 2013, 04:04

Two patches ago I could comfortably do Nintendo hourlies. One patch ago it became dicey until I got Spirit Shield. (Also discovered the joys of Weaken for boss fights.) Now it's back to dicey even with Spirit Shield.
Time to try out the new Protection...

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 13:33) 0.74.0 - 2013-02-23 - Snowflake's Home for Abandoned Ponies (a subsidiary of Snowflake's Shrine) now accepts unwanted ponies in exchange for a random binding and 1-3 random high-grade materials. -- Don't think too much about it if she gives you leather. And make sure to try the lasagna, it's to neigh for.
So Abandoned Ponies go to the SHAP a subsidiary from SS. I'd like to see that lasagna (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

This patch is a further nerf to PA and ET, with the new action speed for monsters PA and CM wear off much faster, making it harder to proc ET because of this.

So would it be an inadvertent buff to bleed?

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 21:37) You can have whatever you want. Next patch.
Next patch will nerf mages, that we can be sure of. Therefore, my humble suggestion is to transform the magical damage bonus from the staff proficiency into a mana conservation bonus. This is in line with the idea of dropping the damage bonuses from the weapon proficiencies.

Yes, this is intentional. Your attack finishes before enough ticks for regen have passed, and the tick count is reset between rounds instead of carrying over.

QUOTE(eramosat @ Feb 23 2013, 18:06) Tenboro...wow, do you ever get a lot of s**t for the stuff you do to keep us all mainlined on the HV!
It's mostly because it takes an extremely large amount of time to make a HV character fun to play. And when you make progress towards that goal the rules change enough to cancel out the progress made since the last update, or even to put you in a worse situation than before. If that wasn't a more or less consistent theme with the latest group of patches then there would be less whining and complaining for Melee and Mage alike.
