QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 16:37) You can have whatever you want. Next patch.
How about a truly enduring and reliable way for mages, using their existing staves, to be able counter the super-high resist ratings that many monsters have which allow those monsters to be unaffected by a half dozen or more spells in a row.

QUOTE("teddy.bear") Seeing as though the critical bonus from power armor doesnt even cover the reduction caused by burnden anymore, can we have it replaced with anti-parry. Dunno what Power you have, but my own didn't changed my crit rate.

Is that 15 of the new timer turns or 15 player turns? As has been repeated many times, cool down and other duration effects have been decoupled from player turns.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 14:33) 0.74.0 - 2013-02-23
Action Speed Revamp
- Base Action Speed is now fixed at 100 time units. That is, it is no longer affected by Agility. This change affects both players and monsters, and means that you should no longer see a large speed disparity at higher levels.
- A new Chaos Upgrade, Swiftness, was added to the Monster Lab. This increases a monster's attack speed by 2.5% per level.
- Haste (normal) was reduced to +25% action speed.
Noooo, my light build! D: No wonder I was getting raped harder than usual this morning. Maybe it's time to try out-- QUOTE - Shield Armor was retired. NOOOOO QUOTE - Daggers and Wakizashi now have an innate bonus to Attack Speed. They can also drop in the new "of Swiftness" variant that further increases this bonus. -- Note that this potentially stacks with the Swift Strike potency.
- Weapons that do Soul damage (old ethereals) will now have the Void damage type instead. Implicitly, they also gain the Void Strike ability.
- The first round of Armor Prefixes were added. Similar to Weapon Prefixes, these are rare variants of armor that provide a small bonus over the plain variants. -- Cloth Armor drops as Charged (+cast speed) and Frugal (+mana conservation) -- Light Armor drops as Agile (+attack speed) and Reinforced (+crush/slash/pierce specific mitigation) -- Heavy Armor drop as Shielding (+block when using a shield) and Mithril (-20% burden) -- Buckler and Kite Shields can drop as Agile, Reinforced and Mithril, while Tower can drop as Reinforced and Mithril. -- All armor types that do not drop with elemental suffixes (all except cotton/leather) can drop as Ruby (+fire resist), Cobalt (+cold resist), Amber (+elec resist) and Jade (+wind resist) variants. Oh. Hmm. QUOTE Monster Lab
- Chaos damage upgrade for monsters was reduced from 5% per tick to 2.5% per tick. Is this retroactive? (Don't answer that if it's already been answered, I still need to read the thread.) QUOTE - Some of the early arenas were dropped, others had slight adjustment to round count and monster composition. Darn. On the plus side, Shield Bash stun seems to last longer now. I had a look and it is because my weapon is non-eth. If I unequip my weapon then my critical goes up from 27.5% to 35.8%. If I then unequip my Exquisite Power Leggings of Balance my critical goes down to 33.6%. So it must be over a certain amount of burden that your critical gets totally screwed. Kind of annoying seeing as though it used to be a good weapon, and I have no other eth estocs that I can change it too.....

Is it possible that there is/was a bug with Energy Drinks or Battle Item slots in general?
I lost 2 of mine when I tried to recover some stamina. The battle item slot was still filled with a Spirit Potion. I activated it before I realized that. Then after I left the fight, I tried to fill the slot again, entered a battle, saw it was still a spirit potion and left. But removing the ED from the slot just made it disappear instead of putting it back into the inventory. Didn't get stamina back, of course.
That was during the time the forums/whole site was behaving strangely.

And yeah, I can only use my ethereal estoc with my heavy set now (it give better crit than my Legendary Astral Estoc of Balance (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ). I guess I could use shards if I really needed to use it.

Also 4 2 You gain the effect Shadow Veil. 4 1 You cast Shadow Veil. 3 3 You parry the attack from Ragingheart Exelion. 3 2 You gain the effect Heartseeker. 3 1 You cast Heartseeker. 2 3 You gain the effect Channeling. 2 2 You gain the effect Hastened. 2 1 You cast Haste. 1 3 Rain Lindwurm crits you for 1557 crushing damage. 1 2 You gain the effect Regen II. 1 1 You cast Regen II. really not liking the new way regen works.... Yup 75. Currently I'm at 64.4. But well, I do have Ethereal weapons, burden was always something I would put a though into, as well as hit chance. Might be a consequence of the old days here.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 24 2013, 03:58) Hmm.. yeah, I looked at you again, it seems that was a false positive. You did your shrining in a window of a few minutes that didn't get caught by the replication. Let me know if you're missing any now. Well. I pulled the most recent backup (which was 50 minutes old), loaded it into a table, ran a thing that counted the difference in high-grade materials between then and now, which resulted in like ten users. Then cross-checked with other potential ways to have obtained them, and dropped the ones where the difference was minor. But you came out at more than a hundred more than you should have.
I've returned your "special" materials (phazon et.al.), only because I didn't actually intend to remove those, but I'm not going to count up exactly how many you would have had of the others if you didn't exploit it. Ehh.. no, that's a visual bug, they don't actually have that. Also fixed.
Have you ever thought that MAYBE, just MAYBE, I earned those? On average, if I have over 40 shrined ponies, I will get at LEAST ~60 mats, and 40 brindings. And I'm 100% certain I did not shrine just 40. More like 60 or more. Not to mention during that time I also managed to check my 30 monsters, all of which ALSO gave me HG materials. If 80% of them give me gifts, that's 24. Now, I have affection at ~55-65% on those, so let's assume 60%. 60% of those 24 give me double gifts. That's roughly 15, rounded up. Now if half of the 24 gives HGs, then you can imagine I'll get about 15-20 HGs from my monsters as well. If you want, I can prove it to you. Just reset my pony list and my mats to pre-patch, I'll shrine them again and show you why I did not exploit the bug. Oh by the way Tenboro, another problem with your method of finding positives is that I shrined before you fix it, and after you fix it I shrine again. I'm being transparent about it because why shouldn't I? You did not set all my ponies to 1 after you fix it, but instead allowing me to shrine again. If you had told me in some way to NOT shrine after, I'd have listened to you. Or that during your fix, you should've already completed the "punishment". I will not stand by and let you take my materials away with a false positive. This post has been edited by ChosenUno: Feb 24 2013, 03:19

Player turns, I made the effort to count it turn by turn, after noticing that Skyward Sword wasn't cooling down after 10 turns in the battle log.

I think skill timer also runs by the global timer.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 19:07) Hmm. Welp. Ain't that a bitch.
For what it's worth, you're right, it was bugged. It looks correct, but it was actually using the raw equipment stats, not the processed/scaled ones. Which means it was actually adding.. somewhere between 100% and 125% the equipment's real mitigation, depending on your level.
So, will protection will stay as it is? Right now, it's quite a hefty blow to heavy users (and I guess kevlar, too.) Assuming just 5 pieces with 10% mitigation each (and that's very low-balling) with the old protection it was 65.13% (1-0.9^10), now with the new one it'll be 55.71% (1-0.9^5*0.75) and will only get worse if you actually use decent equipment. If you think that furhter nerf to high PMI was needed, alright, I'm just mostly interested in hearing your opinion on this.
