I feel a bit sorry that the latest patches are taking the fun from me to continue playing HV. Last year was fun and I enjoyed playing and upgrding my gear with new equipment and IW. I have spend a lot of credits and time until I reached my current level and had gathered the equipment I'm using now. However the latest patches have nerfed that gear considerably. And I don't have the time and the energy to build of a different set as my drops have sucked for months so that I had and have to buy gear if I want something usable. And why should I gather enough credits to buy new things if that gear will be nerfed again in the following patch? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I'm not rage-quitting. But with the current way the game goes, I think that I will take some steps back from playing. Maybe a future patch might change my view on things, but I have the feeling that my efforts, time and money(donation) had been a waste. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I've completed my Legendary Kevlar of Protection set a week ago. And now we have Agile and Reinforced Light Armor. Considering the speed change I'll probably need to get a Legendary Agile Kevlar of Protection set to get the speed back. Keeping in mind the new heavy armor nerf, I'm pretty sure prices for Light Armor will skyrocket like crazy and demand for it will be much higher. It won't be as easy as before. So?

Dexterity (DEX) Every point raises Physical Base Damage by 1 Every 25 points raises Attack Accuracy, Attack Crit Rate, and base Parry chance by 1%
Agility (AGI) Every 25 points raises base Evade chance by 1% Every 50 points raises Attack Crit Rate by 1%
Just looking at the wiki... For someone with all heavy armor (very little evade cause of burden), it's time to switch my stat points.

Only gay people use Light armor. True Man fight in heavy tanks, naked or naked inside a tank!

Yeah, and agile prefix with good rolls and a good suffix is gonna be rare and expensive as fuck too. Since all four of the elemental mit prefixes can drop and reinforced too. I am very curious as to what the drop rates are for the prefixes. Is it like the weapons where it's 100% on Leg, 50% on mag, etc.? I know getting everything to line up right (rolls, suffix, prefix) will probably be hard as fuck so I'll probably stick with my current equips for awhile.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 24 2013, 02:47) three more are missing a large chunk of their material inventory.
If you need somewhere to store all of this confiscated material I have room (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE - The scroll version and normal version of a spell can no longer be active at the same time. I have spend my credits and efforts on my heavy set. Others do that on light or mage sets.
A few even have badass sets in every fighting style. I have been playing for 11 months now, but I can't afford more than on good set since I haven't got the drops to get decent sets at all. Everything good that I'm using is bought.
My trainings are good, not maxed but nearly. I hoped to get some decent drops to sell or use since that seems to be the only way to improve my gear. However with every patch a different kind of gear gets nerfed of buffed. My gear have got nerfed time after time lately and I can't afford the gear which have been buffed(if it is being put in a shop or auction).

Not a real bad update. Can't say I like the new speed system (with regen and all) or the fact that the new protection spell sucks! That said. We should all be thankful that Tenboro takes the time (his time) to work on this game. (even if we don't always like it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) And actually pays attention, and replies, to comments/questions. Thank you. ------ QUOTE(chamois @ Feb 23 2013, 12:41) The new change to protection made me easier to survive using mage. That's the only good thing from this patch. All other bad things from this patch made me completely abandoned melee. Now that i have enough credits, if the next patch nerf mage, i think i'll quit. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 07:33) 0.74.0 - 2013-02-23
- The damage factor for Great Cleave and Shatter Strike were reduced.
(Changes for magic damage will follow in a future patch.)
But yeah, feel the same way. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ------------ Also. The Defense and Warding chaos upgrades give increases of 2.5% per level now?? ( 50% P/M mitigations!!)

Why most Tenboro only post the exploitable version of HV while I'm busy sleeping?
By the way, I just came back from the Wiki archives, was the 4th arena challenge really called "Schooltastic"?

QUOTE(danixxx @ Feb 23 2013, 20:20) I am reading the thread from the beginning and i saw there was a bug with pony shrining. I waited after tenboro saying it was fixed before shrining them and carefully verifying that ponies were correctly disappearing. Hmm.. yeah, I looked at you again, it seems that was a false positive. You did your shrining in a window of a few minutes that didn't get caught by the replication. Let me know if you're missing any now. QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Feb 23 2013, 20:23) Abuse how?
I shrined what I had. How is that fucking abuse? Tenboro, please tell me how you "identify" cheaters. I hope you didn't just search for all the people who shrined more than 35 ponies and say "I'm done". Well. I pulled the most recent backup (which was 50 minutes old), loaded it into a table, ran a thing that counted the difference in high-grade materials between then and now, which resulted in like ten users. Then cross-checked with other potential ways to have obtained them, and dropped the ones where the difference was minor. But you came out at more than a hundred more than you should have. I've returned your "special" materials (phazon et.al.), only because I didn't actually intend to remove those, but I'm not going to count up exactly how many you would have had of the others if you didn't exploit it. QUOTE(Dark_Force_0 @ Feb 23 2013, 21:49) Also. The Defense and Warding chaos upgrades give increases of 2.5% per level now?? (50% P/M mitigations!!) Ehh.. no, that's a visual bug, they don't actually have that. Also fixed.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 16:33) - The first round of Armor Prefixes were added. Similar to Weapon Prefixes, these are rare variants of armor that provide a small bonus over the plain variants. -- Cloth Armor drops as Charged (+cast speed) and Frugal (+mana conservation) -- Light Armor drops as Agile (+attack speed) and Reinforced (+crush/slash/pierce specific mitigation) -- Heavy Armor drop as Shielding (+block when using a shield) and Mithril (-20% burden) -- Buckler and Kite Shields can drop as Agile, Reinforced and Mithril, while Tower can drop as Reinforced and Mithril. -- All armor types that do not drop with elemental suffixes (all except cotton/leather) can drop as Ruby (+fire resist), Cobalt (+cold resist), Amber (+elec resist) and Jade (+wind resist) variants. My humble offers: Frugal -> Cumulative Agile -> Rapid Reinforced -> Armored Shielding -> Reflective

Okay, now that I've had a chance to review the thread, here are some points I've come across. -Tenboro favors updating HV at 2 in morning rocky mountain time. -andywong has horrible custom font settings. -Are dark and light (onyx and opal?) armor prefixes on the way? Or are the ones we have now all we gonna get? -Next time a material exploit bug comes into existence, I should either: A) Use them Immediately. B) Sell them Immediately. C) Mooglemail them to someone and recall them after the heat dies down. Never mind, I can count 3 ways that could go horribly wrong. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Feb 23 2013, 14:28) If I got a clean slate, there would be only five primary stats, with today's dexterity and agility combined into one.

So now that Shield's gone the way of Sword-Chucks, can we have Chobham Armor?
