Question:
- Ether Tap can now stack twice, and can now also re-proc while you have it.
at most 2 taps at the same time?
- The duration of Ether Tap was increased by one across the board.
4 rounds now?
- Ability points from the Aura Slot upgrades can now be reset.
Does it mean if I reset the ability point and I will get back the points I invested in aura slot?
Some feedback:
The actions of removing benefit without compensation makes people discount the benefits that will be brought from all kind of investment in the game. I don't know if it is a healthy practice or not.

If there is something that disadvantages them in any way, they will hone in on that and that alone, completely disregarding any "compensation". Trust me on that one.

Tunnel vision is an ailment that afflicts us all, at one time or the other. It's always best to adapt, compensate and just keep moving forward.

Shade is further screwed thanks to the burden of shield/weapons. Where is the corresponding "compensation"?

Nothing in the patch benefits you in any way?

I do have to say, the info given on a few things makes it hard to tell the end effect, so we tend to assume the worst. Though I do think that Shade/DW was the style that made out best here, triple strikes + avoidance not being touched except for B/I changes. Curative gone? WOOT! One less stupid prof to grind! That's all I need to know right there, and said so a couple weeks ago. Ebony now Redwood? Cautiously optimistic now that we've seen more decent ones, but we still don't have where exactly it stands compared to old Ebony pinned down (it does look like it's got better Prof/EDB but worse MDB now) From the initial lot I was pulling data from it looked like Ebony Prof/EDB and Redwood MDB/ET, which would have been a straight nerf to a style that doesn't need nerfs (specifically, my style). All we had to go on was that it had been rolled into one and that it was "slightly more powerful", which could mean anything. New ET? Took a few point releases to get back into a form that wasn't a nasty nerf, and that's what we saw to begin with. Still kind of worse but not actively horrible anymore (2x stack is pretty nice if the RNG isn't hating on you). New mitigation formula? I actually didn't lose any PMI there (I'm apparently right where the two formulas intersect, did lose some MMI), but I didn't notice the mobs losing MMI because I suddenly had a new tier of monsters kicking my ass (as did most people playing on Nightmare+). Just met Lisi, Celestia, Baloth and Noihara in an RE, got my ass beat because I figured I was safe the turn after Spark procced and was fooling around getting scan data. Before patch, that RE would have been Sheep Knight Holy, Lisette Vertorre and Baloth. By the way, did you by any chance just mess with the forums to put the domain in brackets before each link? I'm assuming this is in response to the recent phishing attempts, but do you think you could whitelist your own domains from that? Makes a lot of sigs look kind of ridiculous (mine included). Edit: Just saw the Twitter, apparently you did indeed just update the forum. Please do hide site-local links and other e-hentai affiliated links. Is the Riddlemaster showing up on turn 2 of the arenas a new thing or a glitch?

2x stack is equivalent to the old ET. It's basically twice the effort (or more depending on RNG), for the old reward. It's not "pretty nice". QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jan 31 2013, 18:11) Nothing in the patch benefits you in any way?
Nothing for me, seriously. As a Holy Mage, I don't care about those Redwood/Ebony changes. Curative prof change means nothing, I've always had maxed profs in both Supportive and Curative anyway. And Counter-Resist is a huge joke (ask any serious high-level mage here). Can you point out how you compensated mages for the Aether shard nerf + ET nerf + PMI nerf? Let me guess: "But Sleeping targets can no longer evade, parry or resist attacks, that's a buff!!" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Not 'me', it's about specific setup. I'm complaining that a Shade setup is probably nurfed more than Heavy. e.g. for a full-Shade + non-Eth 2H weapon combination, there is 7-14 burden with feather shards, killing a lot of evasion. It's problematic for Shade because: 1. Evasion is the major characteristic and defense; 2. The way the relevant math works: evasion accumalates slow but reduced fast. It often doesn't matter much for Power as evasion is low, and Heavy prof reduces a lot of burden. From the point of view as Heavy, Eth weapon is buffed. However for Shade, it's a sheer harassment that non-Eth weapon is almost unusable. I would suggest that Light prof also reduces a little burden, maybe -10 at lv.400. (plus maybe a little more burden for Kevlar) This post has been edited by HTTP/308: Jan 31 2013, 13:33

I too see the Riddlemaster before the second round of each arena - and there seems to be no mana bonus for the correct answer (at least on the low level arenas).

"The exact style and equipment composition I use didn't receive any specific buffs that affected me and only me" != "no benefit". Stop whining.

Trust me, I didn't make out too good (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . Between the 9% loss of PMI and the PA nerf I'm having a harder time than I was before. But yeah, the PMI nerf affected every style but evade wasn't touched. And if you account for the void strikes and infusions it certainly wasn't a bad patch for dual-wield. I've always had the view that ethereal weapons are the only weapons you can use for a full shade set-up. Perhaps because I never used featherweights in the first place so I feel unaffected. I do kinda see your point, but I don't think it's that big of a deal, just use an ethereal.

Except that you pretty much nerfed almost all the playstyles hard, with only a few micro-"buffs" just to say it wasn't a 100% nerf patch.

made a quick glance and seems it will. It is a tough decision, 3 ap vs ~300 clicks and loads.......

Now I'm surprised by your philosophy. I'm happy that players are easier to kill, and for PL limit change. If this is by your definition 'benefit me', then I will stop whining (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
