QUOTE(Arxdewn @ Jan 26 2013, 21:31) Am I the only person who has no clue at all what type of monster each is? I just kill them all regardless . . .
For me i don't really bother which type they are, as long as they give somewhat decent exp and drops (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You can easily tell what type of monster you are fighting by how it "feels" when you hit it. As an example, mechanoids feel like hitting a wall. Elementals feel kinda odd. Celestials feel like you are hitting a glorified 'pig' (Not that I'd know what hitting one would feel like >.>). etc. I scan the last mob/last mob set anyways though when I can simply because I have HVSTAT and I like having the information recorded when I know I'm going to win anyways. Maybe my way of figuring it out is kinda unique to me, but I'm pretty sure everyone who has paid attention to what they kill have noticed that certain mob types feel different from other mob types.

All Melees are that way, only mages need to care about that shit. The only thing that matters is if there chaosed up or not.

all melee does that (thanks to their void weapon) QUOTE(MikukoAya @ Jan 27 2013, 00:02) I scan the last mob/last mob set anyways though when I can simply because I have HVSTAT and I like having the information recorded when I know I'm going to win anyways. QUOTE(Drksrpnt @ Jan 27 2013, 01:26) I melee, and only melee. They're weak as hell against melee. I think they need buffing.
Then they can have 25% Void Resist. You might even notice monster types then. After monster skills showed up, I noticed that a high PL Sprite might well be about the scariest thing in HV for any mage that isn't Dark primary. HTTP has put this into practice. Repeatedly. They don't need buffing.

It's fine as long as Sprites/Celestial don't get a locked-in elemental type. Maybe Sprites all six types; Celestial Holy+Dark.
The pitiful Daimon race can be a candidate for Void magical attack...

How would giving all monsters the same void resistance change anything? If it was 25% then there would be 0 point to void, as that's about the same on average as any other physical specific mitigation.edit: I just looked it up, average specific mitigation is more like 8% on average. Your proposed change would make void damage by far the worst. This post has been edited by Arxdewn: Jan 27 2013, 11:02

Jeeze hTTP, how many "Fibre" monsters did you make. I literally fought like what must've been 9 in one wave.
They aren't even that strong, just annoying seeing Fibre the entire way down my screen.
Gawd, I'm jumping up levels a lot faster now since I'm trying to rush past 200 before soul gets removed, lol. 10-23 levels per day, kays?

Almost all of they have the same PL. Maybe after a few levels, you'll found their presence much less often. This post has been edited by HTTP/308: Jan 27 2013, 12:06

Not Elementals/Celestials/Daimons? Superior melee attack, resistance and not like they're going to get a skill off against a mage.

ar·chi·vist noun a person responsible for preserving, organizing, or servicing archival material. ar·chi·val adjective of or pertaining to archives or valuable records; ar·chive noun 2. archives, a place where public records or other historical documents are kept. 3. any extensive record or collection of data: The encyclopedia is an archive of world history. The experience was sealed in the archive of her memory. 4. Digital Technology . a. a long-term storage device, as a disk or magnetic tape, or a computer directory or folder that contains copies of files for backup or future reference. b. a collection of digital data stored in this way. d. a collection of information permanently stored on the Internet: The magazine has its entire archive online, from 1923 to the present. Yeah, you definitely don't understand archivists, record keepers, knowledge bearers, information brokers, scribes, and other similar types of people. For many of us, knowledge is our way of life. One of my major goals is to experience every bit of knowledge possible both good and bad. Someone who puts their life above knowledge would not understand. Hah! Effective level 308 on Nightmare, mate, and those damned things are still bugging the hell outta me. Well, not bugging *effectively*, but an annoyance is an annoyance. I understand that kind of thinking very well. My take is, knowledge is pointless unless put to use. And it can be as simple as handing that knowledge over to someone else for *them* to put it to use. You need both people who will seek and/or preserve the knowledge, as well as those who turn that knowledge into power.

when you said ar·chi·vist, didn't you mean someone love to have achivements? i thought that is what your meant also, no enough level cannot have enough knowledge about hv, how can you tell what is a Dovahkiin feels, how would he fight when you are not a Dovahkiin? and i think you are the oppsite of what you feel, you dislike knowledge, that's why you take so long and haven't found how to maging, a person who love knowledge shoud figure out both how to meleeing and maging and more in much less time than you hv playing time, like when it is the situation that niten is playable, did preiests/prof clothes as many people thought, were totaly useless? on legendary arenas, which style is more effient, dw or th? what's the safest way to kill fsm? what's the fastest way to kill fsm? if a player want to kill fsm before lv110, how should he do? does he can do? if a player with worst euips as possible, how can he pass trio and the trees in IWBTH difficulty? etc. how many previous questions did you studied? what you learned? QUOTE(mechafujoshi @ Jan 27 2013, 02:26) Like maybe... - Convert all Quintessence crystals in inventory into equal numbers of the other six types (eg if you have 15 Quintessence you get 3/3/3/2/2/2 the other types) - The soul resist stat is removed from monsters, and trainers get a number of elemental crystals equal to the number of Quintessence crystals they had ploughed into it, also divided equally among the remaining six types. - Cost of reaching a given monster PL increases, but it doesn't exactly break the game.
No! Soul resistance needs to be directly replaced with something that's worth the same number of levels! There are lots of things that could replace Soul resistance: -Proc Resistance - Reduces the chance of a proc will occur. -Proc Resistance Alternative - Reduces the number of turns a proc is active for. -Skill Resistance - Reduces the damge taken from skills such as Great Cleave and Orbital Friendship Cannon. -Flee Resistance - One point is 0.25%. All monsters flee resistance is added together to give the chance that flee will fail. -Deprecating Resistance - Reduces the chance that a deprecating spell will succeed. -Deprecating Resistance Alternative - Reduces the effect of deprecating spells. -Soul Resistance - Does nothing, just like Int. -Temperament - Monsters become agitated earlier. Also, all shards should drop on Normal. If you want to disable a drop for Normal it should be pony drops.
