Blast is crit. It's just named differently for mages for some reason.

And of course, now that both of us are going into dark. . . I give it two patches before Tenboro gives Humanoids 75% innate resist (purely to troll Frith by making it impossible to buff Eila's PL via Dark resist any more, of course (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ).

The Undead are already here. You just don't notice them for the same reason I don't notice Dragons.

But trust the Cold mage, the zombie apocalypse is already upon us. That Old Turtle 6? He was merely the first.

Fortunately, only a few particular ones are Chaosed up enough to be an issue.

I would laugh. Then I'd go buy a real Estoc and wait for the next patch, and mark up all my spare Niflheim by about 500%.

Back in the early monster lab some classes had innate 75% resists (or maybe even higher, I forget but seem to recall Celestials/Daimons being Impervious to Holy/Dark respectively). These got toned down once Tenboro realized that Celestials having +75% vs Holy out of the box was batshit insane.

Humanoids, zombies and also sprites are easy to melee though. However, sprites are a pain in the butt due to high AGI.

Oh trust me, I notice them. There just isn't this giant spam of them like with mechanoids (though they are up there in the mobs I see most).

But I'm sure that we'll suddenly get an influx of even more undead soon enough... I guess I'm going to stick with the 'cleric' path. Hybrid cleric... hmm.... Sounds like i'm going to need that HA and Scythe soon... (My 'traditional' "mad cleric" gear).

Seriously though, what is going to happen to soul and such that are getting removed? Like abilities and monster PLs/crystals included.


Will they get replaced by something, completely just removed or...

My goals right now: Build a true holy (offensive) set, a true dark set, and a lightning set along with a cold set (because everyone knows computers prefer it cold)

Like maybe...
- Convert all Quintessence crystals in inventory into equal numbers of the other six types (eg if you have 15 Quintessence you get 3/3/3/2/2/2 the other types)
- The soul resist stat is removed from monsters, and trainers get a number of elemental crystals equal to the number of Quintessence crystals they had ploughed into it, also divided equally among the remaining six types.
- Cost of reaching a given monster PL increases, but it doesn't exactly break the game.
- Infusions of Gaia will probably just be deleted, so use them up.
- Celestials and Daimons can pick Holy/Soul and Dark/Soul respectively for their third attacks; it just becomes Holy or Dark, or they might get an elemental choice, e.g. Holy/Elec and Dark/Fire.
- Sprites have Soul for their third attack. They get Void just to buff them a bit.
- Points of Soulproof on Item Worlded armor are distributed randomly to other potencies that aren't maxed yet, so IW levels aren't lost.
- You get up to 22 Ability Points back from retired ability slots
- Soul strike on weapons turns into some other type. According to the chart on the wiki, net base resistance is not equal across the types, with Soul being the best. Astral weapons could just be turned into ethereal weapons, and get a random elemental strike if they were Hollowforged, and Item Worlded ethereal weapons with Soul strike could get 50/50 Holy/Dark so they don't lose out too much.
- Some replacement for Soul Reaping. The simplest option would be a skill that lets you trade some Overcharge for Spirit points, or there could be a new deprecating spell that procs Ripened Soul.

Extremely minor UI "bug":
Hovering over a hath purchased aura or gold aura states that it does not consume an aura slot.
Aura slots have been removed by 0.73 so that tooltip is unnecessary and confusing.
