QUOTE(MikukoAya @ Feb 4 2013, 13:36) Not a double click. if it was a double click, pressing r would've cast the spell. Also, there are arrows that point at what spell you have set to cast. And it isn't just on one computer or with just one mouse. I think it has something to do with the time between clicking on the spell and clicking on the target. (similar to how sometimes clicking on cure won't cast it) And jeeze, that was just an example of stuff that happens. Another thing that happens is I'll do something, think it didn't work, try it again, then suddenly have both attempts happen. (I hate how everyone seems to use youtube =_= ) Lol, did I just use the wrong set for IWBTH RE? https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=2432059I kinda like it actually. My mp usage is absurdly high with that setup but... (been slowly upgrading my equipment sets, rofl) Yeah, I think I like this setup. Trying to decide if I should use a shield with my ethereal rapier of ilithid or my non-ethereal rapier until i get an upgrade for it. Click once selects. Click twice deselect.

Obviously I know that or else i wouldn't have bothered pointing out that it shows what spell you have set to cast.

When I used just the novictory script I did tend to click spell on my quickbar with my left thumb on mousebutton then click 1 with left pinky, but that indeed meleed - the delay between rounds from next round popup is not insignificant, and you cannot click on the spells during that time. In addition to that, scripts take their time to load too, though that shouldn't be such a huge concern.
The solution is to not use mouse. I advice against using alt key either, you'll get carpet. And it is slower.

Truth is, we don't know. No one does. One can only hope that at least Da Boss knows, but we wouldn't know all the same.

It isn't just rounds it seems, it is any sort of loading including between turns within a round. Kind of a pain though since that makes things take longer to make sure I'm finished loading before I use a spell. I mean, without scripts/mods/etc, it is less noticeable because the screen loads faster, but when you are fighting based on a rhythm like I do instead of by visuals (I watch anime and do homework and listen to music while I play HV (not necessarily one at a time)), it really can screw you.

Which is why using keyboard triggers for js is superior to mouse, as it can't screw you over by failing to load. Assuming you don't replace only spells but monsters too. There are scripts to prevent you meleeing with staff too.

I fight most of the time with the keyboard, but... hotkeying every spell I use would just make a giant mess since as i said, I do stuff at the same time... Which script prevents staff melee and can you still melee (like does it make it harder) or does it stop it altogether? I kinda do fight melee sometimes. (Heck, I've started switching over to HA and 1H+Shield for RE and other short duration runs. (waiting for a good 2H (at least superior and well stat'ed) ethereal scythe of illithid).

lainex wrote one that does that. Yes it allows, but seriously, you should rather just ctrl+t, switch to extensions and turn the scripts you'll not be using immediately off. I'm not using it, since I use shaved bindings. Bondage!
Also, js cannot capture keys if you don't have the window active...Look out for preventing yourself from riddling though!
Though regarding multitasking, that reminds me I've still yet to write a style to minimize screen size of HV. :S

I don't want to be pressing ctrl+t in the middle of a riddlemaster to turn on the riddlemaster buttons script. I don't want to have to press ctrl+t every time I want to attack... It would take more time since I do use attacks to gain overcharge for focus and such. Personally, I think using my melee 1H set for RE is working well even though I'm a mage and am maging the REs. The high mp cost is actually somehow benefiting me for shorter runs... I gain 1H prof and I get HA prof and I almost never spark. (Parry+Block+Counter+Stun+Evade (how am I evading with 0% evade unless shadow veil is either before the other evade loss is calculated or is additive instead of multiplicative...))) I do half damage with magic compared to my mage set but it kinda makes up for it because I can just throw on regen 2 and then whack away with the cure 1/2 and rebuffs every now and then. And easy to spam focus since I can just keep whacking while taking hits.

You obviously don't let yourself stop from doing riddlemasters, silly.
And like I said, I personally don't stop myself from meleeing, rather I avoid pressing keys which would make me accidentally melee. But if you don't like taking damage, maybe you should go 2h - you get AoE without the insane mana consumption.

I don't know. I kinda like 1H so far (I don't have a good 2H weapon, but I have a good 1H). Dual wield isn't bad for when I'm actually melee'ing but 1H is nice for when I'm maging. Gives me a bit of a defense boost (though I can't ET, ET isn't that great for me now) at the cost of a bit of efficiency loss and the loss of half my damage. In exchange though, I take about a tenth of the damage (yeah, I finally got some decent HA pieces-no spectacular ones yet but...) Heck, I do plenty of RE with my 1h where I don't even need to spark and where I use LESS mana pots than with my staff setup. Though I'm not confident enough about my MP usage that I'd run a 100 round arena just yet with that armor... Once I get some better equips, I might... WTH... I just clicked on a monster and instead of attacking it tried to use an item 0_o Energy drink twice in a row.... Spirit gems like 5 alternating turns in a row (probably more, I kept using them simply because I was looking for a mystic/mana gem)... What did you do to the game D: This post has been edited by MikukoAya: Feb 5 2013, 10:47

cheap plates + near 0 prof + 0 oc tank is going to take lot more mana than mages

One thing I have to request to Tenboro: Spark of Life....
When it is active, the text can be very hard to read... Could you put an outline around the characters at least while SoL is active?
Also, would it be possible later on to switch between your sets taking say one or two turns (two meaning one turn to remove, one turn to equip) to do so or one turn + end of round?
And maybe, just maybe, make it possible to throw out gems without using a turn? I'm sure that melees won't really have as much use for mana gems as they would the other gems as an example of a reason you'd want to throw them out without using them. (right now, throwing them out uses up a turn which can be bad for buffs (though it can also be good))

Oh, you must be joking. Or maybe you mean Health Gems, one of the more stupid gems around. Mana gems are VERY useful to a melee fighter, who depends very heavily on Supportive spells/buffs to keep our asses in one piece. I don't wade into an IWBTH battle series without activating Haste/Protection/SS and Regen II, possibly even more as you thunder down the home stretch.

And here I figured melee fighters would like Health gems, lol. I'd rather have a mystic gem as a melee fighter though. No MP + boosted duration buff.

As a heavy 2h melee health gems are pretty damn useless 99% of the time. Said 99% of the time I just find a turn where I don't need to do anything important and use it. Mana gems are always uesful as they slow my mana pot drinking. Spirit gems recently I haven't found that useful when doing BT arenas. The mystic gem sort of varies on importance based on if I need to refresh heartseeker.
Lately I've only used spirit stance either to cast Regen II, or if I'm at the final round of an arena and am trying to maximize damage when PA is up.

And here I thought I was the only one that considered health and spirit gems useless, rofl.
Also, whoever bought the ethereal before I could, I hate you D;
I guess it serves me right for not just clicking buy but actually looking at the price and stats first x.x
