Because I needed a new laptop, and after settling on the model I had the choice between two variants, one with Windows 7 and one with Windows 8. Everything else being identical, the Windows 8 one was both significantly (25%) cheaper, but the SSD was also twice as large!

And I figured, "Hey, maybe it won't be so bad. Maybe all the anti-hype is so much hot air." BUT IT WAS THAT BAD! IT'S AWFUL!

IT WAS A TRAP! DON'T REPEAT MY MISTAKE! GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

Why's so bad? Not counting with the some incompatibilities with "older" programs.

Actually about 3/4 of that store's products are PC-related; hardware, peripherals, a little bit of software (yay for genuine Kaspersky IS <3)... And OK, it may also sell cell phones and digital cameras and TVs, but those are minorities, everyone considers Plaisio a "computer store" here, nobody calls it "electronics store". For us, that would be a store that also sells fridges, cd/dvd players, radios, ovens, blenders... ^^;

But anyway, I guess you meant a store that doesn't even recognize anything other than computer parts. Which makes me curious, why doesn't an "electronics store" work for you? All you need is for them to force-feed Win7 to your new laptop, right? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It is good to know that buffed FSM isn't just my imagination. Thought for a moment that I changed setup too much but returned to old one and there was no difference (+-/5 rounds).

As for Vista. Pretty sick and tired of people hanging dogs on that one. It was solid system. Much better than XP if properly configured (ditching that cheesy GUI for starters). Vista was running solid 3 years without any BSOD, hang or other problem on my PCs. Apart from one tiny antiquated application everything was working perfectly well. Read plenty of horror stories about problems with games, office work, SP etc... under Vista. I don't know where was the real problem, but I'm certain that at lest 50% of users was drunk and on crack. Switched to W7 only because changed to 64 bit version and Vista 64b was not in stock. Biggest failing of W7 is lack of classic shell known from XP and Vista. Need to use Classic Shell for that.

W8 doesn't sucks. It is fucking crap. WinNT 3.51 is better. That about covers it. End of story. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

hard? I guess you made a big mistake and that is completely waste of token of blood. After killing FSM with X1 difficulty to get the first kill bonus, the only difficulty to worth to challenge is X25. I made it when I was LV174 with dual wield fighting style with two hallowed axe of slaughter (I was fool who do not know piece amour was that strong so it takes me 700 rounds to finish it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) If I knew this back then, I will use a rapier of balance on my off hand rather than a goddamn axe) before the HP of FSM was doubled. And after I reached LV 190 and get the skill sp shield, FSM is nothing more but a sand bag in X25 difficulty.
So, I highly recommend you stop doing this. If you feel it is too hard to kill FSM in X25,then, save your token of blood for later when you can kill it in X25 because token of blood is not that easy to get

By than I had done got alot of the spells and things I need.
That's also how I jumped in level alittle fast.
But he was wanting his super good armor and weapon back cus he was going back to play as melee.
He only let me use them cus he was trying mage out.
Me I have tryed dual wielding but I just can't get into it.
I'm more for Two handed weapons.

By than I had done got alot of the spells and things I need.

Ethereal Axe in the main hand, Ethereal Rapier in the offhand - and FSM will go down faster than a drunk prom queen. I'm a conservative 2Hander as well, but for RoB DW is indispensable.

I went against FSM with a full set of Fleet Shade that I had just collected, along with a Exquisite Ethereal Estoc of Balance, on Hard & I got whacked like shit. I used up 7 Godly Mana, 2 Godly Health & 2 Godly Spirit, along with 2 Scrolls of Swiftness/Shadows & 2 Infusions of Divinity (to check out if the damage was higher or not, not much really). I was just barely hanging on towards the end. I can't even remember the numbers of rounds it took. I forgot to activate silence on a few occasions, & Wham! - SoL triggered.

I will recommend an axe that does void attack (voidseeker now only cost 1.2K each, and Iw service is now cheaper than b4) with holy strike and at least have 63+WD as main hand and a rapier of balance that the same as the axe(holy strike and void damage) as the off hand to fighter against FSM. I can finish it in 140 rounds before and 280 rounds now. my axe and my rapier
And also, I know that many Chinese players like to use dual wield in a very strange way. They use a rapier of slaughter on main hand and a rapier of balance on off hand. I have tried this, and it does help me kill the normal monsters quicker but when I try to kill the boss with skill, the damage seems too low

To all the people saying they have trouble with FSM, why not just drop less than 100k on a shitty heimdall set? Look at the stuff in my sig, I'm using gossamer ffs. Some of that stuff was bazaared. All you need is SoL on IA, keep up haste, regen2, SV (and absorb if you can afford it) and at least 1 godly spirit, 2 if your end is low. Stick weaken and imperil on FSM and go to town. Even purge will cut it, no need for banish. Pre-buff I was finishing off IWBTH FSM in around 400 rounds with 40 divine prof and ~20 ea staff and cloth. Only used half my potions. Now I have to use all my potions and waste ~ 200 rounds ether thefting with MM because I run out of mana but that'll probably be easily fixed with a bit of prof grinding.

It's nowhere near a fast kill but it's an easy and cheap one if you can't get it done otherwise.

DW club/rapier and before and after patch still takes me no pots. May take awhile but its very safe. Only need to keep up haste and silence, with occasional regen. If you need more mana, drop a focus each time he gets stunned. Thats also a good time to recast spells, in order to maximize his stun duration.
