QUOTE(varst @ Jan 12 2013, 21:16) Come on, that's the time when heavy armor just sucks IIRC
Yeah it was pretty awful. Back then I had no Idea how the fuck I should survive 19 rounds on normal and then win another round with a Boss added. Back then it was also harder on new people because fewer drops and the main Credit Source was Arena. But Arena had a entry fee so if you die... Luckily there was cmals store to buy some goods for cheap (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Along with their HP, did their EXP reward also get doubled? Only killed a few schoolgirls, but fairly sure it was less before.

QUOTE(Maximum_Joe @ Jan 12 2013, 18:05) You don't have any local places that do that? I can't swing a cat in my city without hitting a comp store that does. Actual computer stores? Those things still exist over there? Because the closest one I know of is roughly 500 kilometers away. Oh wait, I checked, and that one closed a few years ago.

Now I wonder where you live. I have a slight idea...

Are you seriously saying you don't have something like this where you live? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:[ corporate.plaisio.gr] http://corporate.plaisio.gr/images/Corporate/Shops/Venizelou2/InnerBig02.jpg) I suppose you're probably joking, but on the other hand I'm too dizzy to be sure.

Some are even across the street from each other. QUOTE 500 kilometers away. Do you train with an ancient order of monks up in the mountains!?

I've just killed him. On normal, well, but still. Tougher but killable.

QUOTE(Ichy @ Jan 12 2013, 19:08) Everyone agrees that Boss and above needs a buff.
Considering I was just about to get to a level where doing Schoolgirl runs on hard or heroic would have made sense and now I can barely finish Twilight on normal... I don't think I'm included in "everyone" here. :V As far as FSM goes, sure. Doesn't make a difference anyway.

QUOTE(Ichy @ Jan 12 2013, 22:30) Running Schoolgirl Marathons is boring anyways (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Well, as long as you can two-shot everything except Konata it's effective enough. Hence why I'm slightly irked at month of upgrades going down the drain there. :V

Apparently the only person included in that "everyone" is Ichy himself. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) OK, maybe a couple of other 400+ level players too, who can kill FSM on IWBTH in less than 0 turns... But still, that's significantly far from "everyone".

That'll be interesting (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . The Hentai Geeks instead of the Shaolin Monks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE(Thot @ Jan 13 2013, 04:20) Considering I was just about to get to a level where doing Schoolgirl runs on hard or heroic would have made sense and now I can barely finish Twilight on normal... Why would it make sense? Shards? QUOTE(eleeinos @ Jan 13 2013, 05:23) Apparently the only person included in that "everyone" is Ichy himself. FSM is not particularly difficult (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Though, even with the new buff, many custom monsters still die after schoolgirls for me, on BT (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) And yeap, my dream of running IWBTH DwD daily has been postponed by about 6 months or so (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

FSM is not particularly difficult (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Even though I'm melee, I agree. FSM is easy, it just takes a huge amount of time now for the same reward. Used to kill it on IWBTH in 190-200 turns, today it took exactly 450. QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Jan 13 2013, 05:29) Though, even with the new buff, many custom monsters still die after schoolgirls for me, on BT (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I can still kill some custom monsters with 2 hits on BT, but a Schoolgirl on NORMAL takes over 50 turns without using skills. Otherwise, two Great Cleaves (one spirited GC takes away about 70-80% of their health if they have PA, otherwise it doesn't even scratch them). QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Jan 13 2013, 05:29) And yeap, my dream of running IWBTH DwD daily has been postponed by about 6 months or so (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Forget IWBTH, I almost failed to beat it today on Normal... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Used my last Godly Mana on round 99, four or five more and I would have failed miserably. And I didn't even get a token... QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Jan 13 2013, 04:29) Why would it make sense? Shards?
Well. Doing them at all makes sense because of the trophies, as long as you can complete the arenas without resorting to ether theft or any other thing that takes up time. Doing them on higher difficulty makes sense because of additional credits, exp and such. -If- you can still clear them quickly enough. Basically, when you deal enough damage that it doesn't make much difference time-wise if you stay at the lower difficult or go up to the next one, it's worth it. If it takes a lot of effort/time just to beat it, it's not worth it. Is how I see it at least, but then there's melees doing it on IWBTH so dunno.

I just fought it earlier and I was wondering why it had so much hp since it usually takes me less than 500 rounds to kill it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
