It's pretty disrespecting what your doing, going on to another persons thread and offering translations, the only reason people come to laruffii is because he offers translations for free and looking at your thread 20$ per chapter which is a complete rip off not even professional translators make that much, your not translating anything sophisticated that merits 20$, your translating a doujinshi on hentai where most of the text consists of panting or repetitive things you pretty much see in all h doujinshi which is like "i'm cumming" I can understand people fansubbing anime charging that much because there is a lot more dialogue and more advanced level language being used, while i don't translate Japanese, i translate things from Cantonese to english and translating adult comics is not difficult or even time consuming, you should be able to translate 20 pages within 15 minutes if your native in that language.

But yeah what i see from these posts you seem like your mad that people are coming him for translation and you probably feel mad that people are coming to his thread for translating instead of asking you and getting ripped off, i don't see a problem with what Laruffii is doing while his translations may not be that good he does it for free and i'm pretty sure all the people who come to ask him for translations know about his quality of translations and only come because it's FREE while their using the e-hentai bounty system to pay Laruffii their not losing anything real, like real money, i wouldn't even pay 5$ for a 20 page hentai manga...

1. I didn't disrespect anyone (or mean to), that user wanted an alternative so I gave him one.
2. Laruffi do receive money for most of their work, they have a 'commissioned by' line in their credits pages. It's also obvious that they prioritize commissioned requests.
3. While some manga are simple to translate like you said (obviously I charge less for them), it is not true all the time. Some ARE quite difficult. Also going from JP to CN is different to JP to EN.
4. If you can translate one in 15 min then you either are a pro (with software that help make it faster etc) or don't care.
5. I don't care if Laruffi gets popular because people will still come to me if they want translations done properly.
6. I actually used to do translate and edit for free years ago (before the bounty system) but then noobs would make requests and then disappear, making it not worth it.

You can almost always figure out the "concept" just by looking at the pictures, so that's a low bar to determine merit. Quality translations are both accurate and readable. Translators tell me that Laruffi's translations are often not the former and my eyes tell me they are generally not the latter.

You seem to be confusing offering advice, and asking legitimate questions for trolling. If people were trolling, we would be here solely to piss people off, not expecting answers.

Just because people disagree with your opinion does not make them a troll, or a bot as Laruffii likes to say.

I'm a native English speaker, and I find his translations abhorrent. His translations are not good by any standard, and when other, more experienced translators have tried to help him out, he doesn't respond. Broken English by definition would make the quality of a translation bad, so by saying it's broken, but good is just plain wrong. His accuracy, word choice, and editing quality are all poor, so defending him really doesn't make sense. Nothing about Laruffii other than speed seems to be, in any right, good.

Understanding the concept isn't the point here. Entire stories are being misrepresented by this group's translations. Honestly, concepts can be conveyed visually. It's pornographic material, "they had sex" conveys the concept pretty well. But we're talking about translating, not conveying a concept. People want to know what is said in a way that doesn't sound robotic, or unintelligible.

Criticism does not mean trolling. Please try to realize the difference because they are very different.
