I dont know what you just wrote but either way facts still remain this patch changed nothing in regarding to experience. Just so you know different quality equipments give different experience and stamina also makes a huge difference.

Sorry for my poor English. The only thing I want to say is this patch nerfed the efficiency of kill monsters. Now I have to run the lower difficulty IW, but I still can not go same distance as before, that means less Exp, in a same robe and similar stamina.

Aha now i know what you mean, and yeah this patch nerfed your magic damage by alot, so it will take a spell or two extra for you to clear a round. This means you will have a harder time clearing the same stuff then what you did before which will lead to less experience. So you are correct that its harder now. My magic damage doesn't seem to have changed. I just ripped through Endgame using thunderstorm (full mjolnir suit) on nintendo. What kind of damage can one dish out with the new phase, I wonder. I'll try some arenas on BT tomorrow; ho-hum.
Pre-edit: Neptunia is annoying! Also, why can't my faerie have a magic skill? I want her to melt faces, not break bones.

Really? I definitely noticed the drop in damage. Doesn't particularly bother me, but I am using more potions than I find now, rather than breaking roughly even.

Breaking News! : Full-Heavy melee setup does indeed WORK!* (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) I'm not saying that it's better than using other setup. No, not at all! Interference is still way too high... But at least it does work... and using it now in arena no longer instantly turn you into a retarded warrior in cardboard armor with lead weight attached around his waist like it use to be... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) * Using both old and new, junk to mediocre piece I picked up from bazaar to test (3plate/2shield), and a Niten set. This post has been edited by buktore: May 16 2011, 06:49

QUOTE(Boggyb @ May 15 2011, 17:22) If I chuck my T11/purplies in favor of 4.2 greens, we'll have a valid comparison. I haven't hopped on the PTR, but I seriously doubt that will happen. Yeah, most will get replaced pretty quickly into Firelands and the new dailies (my H Halfus wrists will hopefully hold up awhile), but I fully expect to be able to jump in punch a spider in the face the first week (hopefully getting through the first 3 on week one).
As far as I'm aware, Blizzard has never added new green-quality equipment in a content patch, so I think this comparison remains entirely valid. They mat release new blue quest and reputation rewards, but you appear to have missed my "compared to gear from the same difficulty of content" line. And how exactly will HV mages not "be able to jump in and punch a spider in the face" after this nerf? Some of the highest level players may have to cut back on playing at BT and IWBTH difficulty, but that won't prevent them from finding upgrades just as fast as they already do. Every new piece of EDB phase, regardless of the loot quality multiplier imparted by difficulty setting, is guaranteed to have more EDB than anything they already own.

You do realize that the interference is there to offset the ~50% physical mitigation and ~50% crush/slash/pierce resistance you can potentially get with a full set of high-grade Plate after the patch, right?

That only work on paper, Tenb. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) ... I'll let cmal (here's your chance to convince him to do something with the interference!) explain why ... so tired and sleepy right now. In fact, a lot of aspect of HV balancing seem to work, in large part, only on paper. For example: Arcane Focus and Heartseeker work in exactly the same way, just different for Phy/Mag dmg, and use same amount of mana. Seem fair and balanced on paper. In practice, however, this is clearly false. Heh, even the example you shown (50% physical mitigation and ~50% crush/slash/pierce) is, in itself, already a fine example of "only work on paper" ... Heh, I edited that post to wrote that. Because it came to me after I replied ... "Wat? is that even possible?! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) " kind of feeling. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) What's the requirement for someone to get that, really? I did a quick cal that you would need LV.300 / 300 Heavy prof ... plus 8 for each specific mit on every equipment slots!!! Is that even possible?! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Test user, Level 251, full set of post-patch Magnificent Plate Armor (3x Protection, 2x Dampening), Rank V Green Aura, using Dual-Wield: 49.6% Physical Mitigation 32.9% Crushing Mitigation 40.4% Slashing Mitigation 40.4% Piercing Mitigation Close enough, considering that I didn't actually check the numbers, and that you can get almost 50% parry with that.
