Yeah, soon it will surmount DBZ as longest running animation ever. Though it really should have ... ahem... died at about season 13. I find maybe one good episode these days out of the new seasons I like.

See, I think we can all agree short and sweet is where its at. Too many companies love to drag out a series for way too long and don't even realize by the time their finished, so are their fanbases.

Is it true what I've heard that they're finally going to create a movie based on this popular TV series?

Simpson's has been great... however, it has much more ups and downs than it did in earlier years.

I wish an animated series would have the balls to do something big, they offed Maude, Flanders wife.... she wasn't that big a character to begin with. I wanna see someone important die, or break off a relationship, or get a sex change, you know, something worth remembering! Animators don't even realize these characters are YOURS to mess around with and can't make anything permanent.

It's been said a thousand times before, but The Simpsons is way past its prime, and needs to become nothing more than a fond memory.

Yeah, soon it will surmount DBZ as longest running animation ever.

*ahem*

One word - Doraemon. It's been running (in the standard TV version) since 1979, and it has more than 2000 episodes... Add to that about 25 movies and too much manga to count - I'll put my money on that as the longest running animation series of all time. Talk about dragging it out!

And now that we're on the subject, how about "Days of our lives" for dragging it out? Running since 1965, with an undisputed total of currently 10339 episodes. No, that's not a typo. Over 10000 episodes. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

Yeah man, that's like almost 180 days worth of nonstop TV in just ONE SERIES... Think about when you're looking back at your life as a 50-yearold and think "Well, I've probably spent an entire 0,5% of my life on the crapper! Oh yeah, and 1% watching Days of Our Lives"

I stopped watching The Simpsons back in 2000... it just got really tiresome, really quick.

I still enjoy watching an old rerun every now and then of course.
