Who's That Ponymon!?

The Riddlemaster has come up with another way to test your mettle, and will now in addition to mazes use the new Picture-Oriented Ne'er-do-well Identification and Elimination System - or PONIES™ - to tell bots apart from normal players.

Unlike the previous system, PONIES™ relies on identifying certain combinations of vector shapes in images, which is easy for a human to do but comparatively much harder for a computer.

While the system will link you to it when necessary, before facing the new and improved Mares'n'Mazes Riddlemaster, it is recommended that everyone gets familiarized with the PONIES™ Reference Chart.

Enchantments

The Forge has expanded, and now also offers enchantments. These are time-limited bonuses you can apply to weapons and armor in order to make them more powerful.

Enchantments all require a specific Shard to activate, and expire after four hours realtime.

There are currently three different enchantments for weapons, but just one that can be applied to armor and shields:

- Voidseeker's Blessing (weapon only) changes a weapon's damage type to Void, and gives you perfect accuracy.

- Suffused Aether (weapon only) gives a +10% mana conservation bonus and a +50% magic accuracy bonus. (This does not stack if you dual-wield enchanted weapons.)

- Featherweight Charm (all equipment) eliminates the burden and interference of the equipment piece.

You can have multiple enchantments at once, and if you for some reason want a longer-lasting one, you can also apply the same enchantment multiple times to extend the time.

Shards can be found as normal drops, but Voidseeker and Aether shards only drop at Hard and above. They can also be awarded from the Monster Lab.

Oh, Ponyfeathers!

They've been dropping everywhere lately. Maybe something is going on?

Misc

- Mana Cost is now properly calculated as a percentage stat.

- Giants reduced from 14 to 12 endurance.

- Mechanoids reduced from -50 elec to -75 elec.

- Upgrading any stat for a piece of equipment will now also increase its level by 1.

- Physical and Magical Absorption has been removed from equipment.

- Cloak of the Fallen now applies a straight +75% physical and magical mitigation bonus.


0.6.6.1

- Riddlemasters are now somewhat more common.

- The time allotment now starts at 99 and is reduced gradually to 50 at level 100.

- Solving a riddlemaster with more than 30 seconds left on the clock now also heals you equivalent to a combined health and mana gem.


0.6.6.2

- Added the final easter reward items as well as some code to enable special functionality for these.

- The Item World screen now has an equipment filter.

I Like the new Riddlemaster. it is a nice change to those mazes. I hope it will be still here by tomorrow.

I also like the Gear enchantments.

I have only done a few arenas, but it does indeed feel a little easiere...
Maybe the monsters damage were lowered slightly to balance it out, which would make it noticeable easiere for me as i did not have much absorb before :3

They are by no means "rare", but we'll see if they pile up or not.

My best guess is that upcapped physical/magical absorption from monsters take away too much our damage.

I guess this depends on your equipment set cuz my SP seems to drain twice as fast. (from Spirit Shield) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Another Question: Should Giants get some Piercing Mit back now that they have fair END?

The only bad thing about this patch could be that monsters will bring me Shards instead of wanted Bindings and Materials now.
Not sure about the drop rates since I checked my girls some time before the patch.
