With the release of the game mere hours away, what are you the most excited about on the topic of this latest adventure? I just watched the trailer again, and I nearly came with excitement, knowing that this long awaited title is finally upon us.
I am most excited about the way Daedric Shrine quests, as per usual.
while i certainly love TES games, i also tend to wait for the GOTY/complete edition of the games. happened with morrowind, happened with FO3, happened with oblivion, and its the reason why im holding out on buying FOnv and skyrim.
I'm looking forward to a not-retarded game engine.
On that note, I probably won't be playing it for a few months while I wait for DLCs and mods.
Sadly, it's got all of the same bugs you know and love from Bethesda ;p.
The backgrounds and environments are freaking amazing; unfortunately the character models are kind of underwhelming and look pretty similar to the ones back in Oblivion or their other games.
I'm probably gonna wait on this until the GOTY edition too, simply because I don't want to have to drop another 30 or so on DLC expansions and I'm cheap.

My plan since I heard about it.
I might be seeing bethesda's main customership as too intelligent, but imagine that in the end, so many people decided to wait for a GOTY that the sales dropped signiicantly and they won't be making one. I'm curious why would that be a troll? That was what I think of it to put it bluntly. I'm not a big fan of it, but I'll still give it a try when I can purchase the whole pack.
Been playing the shit out of it. Only stopped because I've got a headache. The game is pretty impressive, my only gripes are that they put the shitty Fallout lockpick system in this one (and made it near impossible do unlock higher level locks without leveling up). They added children (they're annoying too, I just want to run them through with a finishing blow from my greatsword). The mission marker is a bitch to see on the compass HUD and I find myself following one of the four compass directions 90% of the time, not even realizing it until I'm halfway across Skyrim getting my ass handed to me by the local fauna. Random dragon battles. I mean I run into those fucking dragons in the most inconvenient battle locations. Ugly ass character design, like I couldn't make my Breton sexy looking at all. Breaking shit to learn enchantments. Als, I'm a goddamn Breton, where's my extra goddamn magicka!?
It's good. Except that the inability of the Fallout Companion AI to traverse small ledges combined with the rocky terrain of Skyrim means I frequently have to fast travel to my CURRENT LOCATION just to make them magically reappear. And it's crashing to desktop a lot. And mammoths are scarier than dragons.
How's the combat system? Is the area more lively as promised or will it be an empty pile of rocks like in fallout? They also didn't want to tell much about the story, and that leaves two options: Either it is, for a change, decent, or, well, as usual(for TES at least, the Fallout plots weren't THAT dry)... Questions over Schmestions....

They aren't scarier than those fucking giants, with their one-hit kills knocking your character 1000 feet in the air O_o. I managed to kill 2 of them in one fight, only because the giants wouldn't drop down onto the ledge I was exploiting.

It's far superior to previous Elder Scroll games anyway. The separate right/left arm thing is pretty cool, in that (except for archery and two-handed weapons) you can equip either hand with either a spell or a weapon and combine them for lots of interesting effects.

Edit: I wonder if they'll somehow protect against this:
Eh, there's nothing really worth stealing.

Didn't say they were. But the dragons (at least the ones I've met so far) were pretty weaksauce compared to certain other mobs.
