quite a good game in all the zombie related gaming experience...

but i don't know it's bad luck or what,
my first save (about 20hrs. of game time) got wiped due to the 1.2 patch
and then my 2nd save (10hrs. game time) got bugged, can only lead to quest fail after 10 sec of loading

damn i want to see the end of the story, but running it from the start AGAIN is not really appealing... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I saw the trailer for that game.

It made me kinda sad.

It did look like an awesome survival/rpg though. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

it's not quite what i had expected , but better than the L4D Shit. and it's more fun playing online with buddies.

I think you can get a patch to fix the corrupt saves try [forums.steampowered.com] here not sure if this will help or not though, that site also hosts alot of other game fixes to that might be worth checking out to.

I've been playing this game with a friend and its pretty sweet like a mix between Dead Rising and Left for Dead

Do you mean the trailer that plays in reverse that was a cool trailer but apart from there being zombies in it it dosen't seem to have anything to do with the actual game story as far as I've seen anyway

Thought I'd post this again in a place of more relevance.

I saw a 22 minute playthrough of the first parts of the game... looks extremely disappointing.

I don't know why, but this game just give me a feeling of Borderland, and it makes me a few dizzy for long time playing, but the background and story they use is interesting and I think it is possible to have deadisland 2

I think the game is pretty great so far... working on my third playthrough with Purna for that

It was my favorite RPG/Survival Game for some time. I put in about 80 hours of playing online with some of my friends.

its obvious this game is not for everyone.
its exclusive to zombie fans, im a zombie fan so.....

I'm a zombie fan too, but I can't really get into this. Not sure why. It seems to have everything it needs. The game certainly is scary and has a good atmosphere. I get that whole on edge thing while playing, and the zombies are certainly nerve wracking.
However it gets redundant fast, searching around, fixing weapons, bringing some dude his beer, and fighting the same sets of zombies over and over. I also find a lot of the gameplay mechanics really clunky. It's great for what it is, although I'm guessing the core of this is to play online with people, and that ain't my bag. I'll probably finish it some day, but unfortunately, it doesn't call out to me anymore than that. The cool spook factor I don't think can weigh against everything else that I don't find all that impressive about this.

I WAS playing it & really enjoyed it, right until I was 2/3 done and my save became corrupted. I guess there's a fix now, but after that I said the hell with it. It's really just Borderlands with zombies and Borderlands was better.

It's a great game. They tried to make it harder with the "Kicks use Stamina" patch, which was definitely needed. I made it to the City mostly jump-kicking and head stomping everything (besides the Thugs and Suiciders), and this was pre-patch. Never needed a gun, just carried a spare plank to toss at Suiciders.

As posted earlier though, definitely needs friends to make it super fun, although I solo'd everything and enjoyed it nonetheless. The Blood Arena patch or whatever is a waste of money if you don't have friends to play with though. Wave after wave of zombie is only so fun on your own, especially when they are all so easy to trick into easy kill situations.

I played Xian Mei for the sharp item bonuses. Easy limb removals and decapitations. She's considered harder because her HP pool is just absurdly low. I never bothered to use Fury because her HP is so low that the false sense power you get from it makes you feel like you can take on an army, then you start taking the hard hits anyways. This changes once you get a sharp weapon with a good amount of ranges (Machetes, and later the Katana and Wakizashi).

In the end it was a fun game, but there wasn't enough incentive for me to play the other characters after I beat the game the first time, as there is no change in the story.
