QuickBar 2 - The Quickening
aka QB2

QB2 is an addon, much like cmal's STAT, which adds a second quickbar to HV. It's only available for Chrome so far, but I'm actively working on porting it to Firefox (possibly even as a full-blown extension, rather than a Greasemonkey userscript).

To report a bug, please open the Error Console (CTRL+SHIFT+J) and post the contents of the Errors Tab (the All or Warnings tabs will show a lot of items which are related to either EH/HV themselves or other pages you've browsed). This will help me determine if the issue is due to lousy programming on my part or if its something else entirely.

Features:

• Second Quickbar - QB2 adds a second quickbar, underneath HV's quickbar, which allows you to easily select and cast 10 more spells.
• Hotkey support - Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+0 work the same way for QB2 as Alt+1 through Alt+0 do fro the HV quickbar. I think this might disrupt item hotkeys, but they didn't work in Chrome when I tried them.
• In battle customization - QB2's settings dialog can be opened mid-battle, and you can change the spells that appear in the bar instantly.

Planned Features:

• Firefox Support - I hope to have a Firefox version of QB2 available in the near future.
• Switchable quickbar layouts - The next major feature will be the ability to build and choose from multiple QuickBar2 layouts.

Known issues:

• Clicking multiple times - Clicking a QB2 button for the same offensive spell more than once (without selecting a monster in between) doesn't work quite like the same action on an HV quickbar button. It's just a display issue, but I do plan to fix it in the future.

• coredumperror - Me. I came up with the design that allows QB2 to function (it emulates the user clicking on the spells in the spellbook).

To force STAT's version to load (which won't negatively affect QB2), disable both addons, then re-enable QB2 followed by STAT.
  - QB2 now loads instantly, instead of being delayed after page load for a short moment.
  - Changing QB2's buttons mid-battle no longer requires a page load to activate.
  - QB2's settings button no longer appears on any inappropriate hentaiverse.org pages.

  - QB2 was swallowing all Ctrl+whatever hotkeys. This should be fixed now.

  - QB2 now filters its spell choices based on spells you actually know. You must visit the Abilities page at least once before you can make any changes to your QB2 settings.
  - The next time a new version of QB2 comes out, Chrome should automatically update it for you.
  - This completes the original feature set that I wanted when I first envisioned QuickBar2, so I'm bumping the version to 1.0.0.

  - Fixed a few bugs with the spell selection dropdowns. Thanks cmal and Koshinator.
  - Fixed a major pageload speed bug brought on by the update to jQuery-UI 1.8.11. HV page loads with QB2 enabled should be slightly faster now.
  - You should notice that QB2 has updated itself automatically for this release, if you already had it installed.
• v1.0.2
  - Pestilence was bugged to not show up in the spell selectors due to a misspelling on the Abilities page.
  - New version of QuickBar2 will not longer be stored at the old URL. They will include the version number in the filename from now on, allowing for easier archiving of older versions. The auto-update mechanism will handle this change, so it shouldn't affect anyone.
• v1.0.3
  - The release of HV 0.6.2 caused Spirit Shield to break, and Protection wasn't working. Both are now fixed.
  - I'm not sure if this manifested as a problem for anyone else, but the icons for the QB2 buttons should now look right.

It's in the way.

Huh. Whoops. I fixed it in v0.1.2. Download again to get it.

Also one issue, not with the script really. but...
Why don't you make it so that when I click the link I don't have to download it and then open it. Instead it would just open up and ask me if I want to install this script or not.

Not sure how that's done, but STAT is set up like that.

It's just minor, nothing to fret about. It was just confusing for a bit since I just moved to chrome on this very special occasion (for the time being anyway (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

It's because of my host. I'm putting the file on Google Sites, which forces you to download it rather than install it directly. If I had a real host, I'd be able to make it work right.

EDIT: You can get it at [www.mediafire.com] this link if you want it to auto-install. It's on MediaFire, though, which means this link is not guaranteed to continue working indefinitely.

Oh yeah, you need to do something about the spellbook div. The spellbook will get cut off, so you need to change its properties to allow scrolling like the items div.

after being used to having only 1 quickbar, i still sometimes select the wrong spell, becuase of the new spell placement

Fixed it, along with all the other panes in that area. Download the new version linked in the OP to get the fix.

Yeah, it took me a while to get used to it too. What I do now is I put my commonly cast supportive, curative, and deprecating magic into QB2, and my offensive damage magic in the regular quickbar. That lets me logically separate the function of both bars, making it easier to remember where to move my mouse for what I want to do.

However, if folks think it'd be a good idea to move QB2 down a bit, so it's not butting up against the regular quickbar, I could do that.
