We've been trying to run this site uncensored when it comes to all forms for drawn material for quite some time now, but now it seems that our own popularity might have caught up with us.

As sad as it might be, we absolutely depend on advertisers in order to cover the costs of running this place - donations are no way near enough. The hosting costs for 2009 were somewhere in the area of $46k, donations were less than half that. You'd think 3.7 million visitors would throw in on average a tenth of a cent each per month, but alas, this is the Internet and few people are willing to pay anything for anything. And as the advertisers are running on stricter standards than we have been, some changes have to be applied.

Which brings us to the point: starting right now, certain types of content are no longer allowed on E-Hentai Galleries:

- Depictions of underage characters ("lolicon" and "shotacon")

- Depictions of people having sex with animals ("bestiality")

I spent the last day or so improving the filtering solution, so there should be nothing "inappropriate" left. It's not *that* bad - it cuts out about 30k of the 150k currently active galleries. But still, not insignificant.

Note that if you come across the New Breed of forbidden content, don't expunge or report it, simply tag it with the corresponding content. The system will take it from there.

And if you want to piss and moan about this, don't, at least not to me. I don't need it, and it won't help the current situation.

Now if you'll all excuse me, some time ago I bred a shark with a trampoline, and I've been keeping it in my basement for just this occasion.

Edit: Note that none of our *current* advertisers were involved with this. So don't bother them.

He means all loli and shota are now not allowed, because the advertisers are douchebags.

Question, and I don't know if this is a possibility or not, have you looked at the possibility of a different advertising group, or whatever you call it?

Also, are there any specifics as to where the complaints are coming from that we might attempt to combat them in a legal manner? Or did the ad company just give you the proverbial finger?

Well, this doesn't effect me in any way, but to the users that are actually peeved by this shift from rechtsgrundlage to verboten, cough up the dough so Tenboro doesn't have to rely on advertisers, any longer.

Either that or learn to live with it. The choice is wholly yours(general).

Ouch... Regulations like this suck some of the life out of internet entertainment... I'm not overly a fan of what's being banned... but I like to be able to click a link and decide for myself what I deem as 'appropriate' or not...

Makes me wish I had mountains of cash I could use to help fund places like this... but since I don't, I guess living with the changes is about all we can do at this point. >.<

Not that i'm fond of lolicon or shotacon, but, in my opinion, those terms must be redefined.
Because it's show people under majority having sex, and i mean, it's totally legal, in the real life, if there are not under the sexual majority, so why it's illegal to picture that ?
I think picturing children having sex is horrible, and that is not "moral" at all, but when it's a teenager (above his sexual majority) it's OK because it's not like he's playing in a porn movie, he is in a comic, it's fictional, moreover, the comic shows a part of that teenager's life and, i mean, there a lot of teenagers having sex because they want in the world, so what's the problem with morality ? (well, when it's rape I understand the problem...)

So, in my opinion, I think we must redefined those terms, so shotacon and lolicon instead of "Picturization of under majority sex" would be a "Picturization of under SEXUAL majority sex".

For bestiality, I don't see any problems with that, i mean, i we don't want to allow that, why allowing yiffy, scat and uro hentai, guro and even all the fetishes like footjob and all that.


And just look at the top gallery, there is shota or loli in some of them, does it means that a lot of people on this website will rape a girlie, I don't think so...

Why don't you just limit the bandwidth on anonymous users and users who don't donate $1 a month. Just cap the amount of bandwidth anyone can use to something low enough they can't eat up lots of bandwidth, then if they log in and donate $1 they get uncapped for a month.

Or if $1 is too small of a transaction then do $5 for 5 months. If what you say is true about if every user only donated a tenth of a cent a month it would fund it, then this should probably suffice just fine. Please consider it. Ads suck anyways and smart people usually block them.

I am very disappointed in this decision. I am in the same boat as Corvo80, oh well. It had to be done I guess.

I hope in the future we can have our pettan back, but until then, fly well E-Hentai.

What pisses me off the most is that these self-proclaimed morality police can't see the forest for the trees. How on earth is a drawing of a loli harmful to anyone?

If anything it prevents possible harm, because if there's a person out there who could act dangerously, maybe they can use this material as an outlet for dangerous urges they might have.

This is horrible news. Such amazing works (probably scanned and uploaded by members here, and nowhere else on the English net) are now again lost to obscurity, because this site's tagging system was the king at finding stuff.
