Niten Ichiryu
- The Niten Ichiryu fighting style has been enabled. (Well, fixed. It was supposed to be active, but it was bugged. Which was probably good, because it was bugged in more than one way.)
This fighting style combines the power of two-handed and dualwield by allowing you to off-hand a Wakizashi with a Katana.
Note that while using Niten Ichiryu, both the Dualwield and Two-Handed proficiencies come into play. The stats of the Katana and the chance of a Domino Strike are determined by Two-Handed, while the stats of the Wakizashi and the chance of an Offhand Strike are determined by Dualwield.
You do not however gain any weapon proficiencies while using the Niten Ichiryu fighting style. Furthermore, the damage component from the offhand is reduced to 25%, upgradable to 50% through dual-wield proficiency, and the off-hand does not gain the parry bonus you get with dual-wielding.
LoLWuT? How long has this been in the making? I can honestly say I didn't see this coming. Are Wakizashi and Katana going to be a bit less rare now, or is this going to be limited to people like Hito who've found 7 turn massive bleed Katanas? Also, is the proficiency thing really necessary?
I guess this is to make it so dual-wielders don't have to hit one enemy at a time over and fricken over again; adds a bit of variety to the otherwise monotonous style that is dual wield (IMG:[

style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Is there any correspondence between getting an offhand strike and getting domino strikes, or are they completely disjoint?

And for the shield-wearers
- When you're equipping a shield, you now have the chance to trigger Counter-Attack on the attacking enemy on a successful block. Counter-Attack counts as a normal attack, except that it cannot proc any effects.
-- The chance to trigger this action is determined by your Dexterity, Strength, and Shield Proficiency.
hmmm... something tells me you will soon be changing the no-procing thing. Also, have you / can you increase the rate of shield prof increase? It's unbelievably slow compared to others.

Misc
- Fixed the sort order for katanas and wakizashi
- Absorb should now only trigger on spells that actually hit. Furthermore, a spell that's absorbed won't generate any further output.
- Changed the icon for Bewilder.
- Interference proficiency penalties are now calculated in the correct order.
- Snowflake will now properly award you Hath even if you have never visited the member-only pages on EHG.
Lol. Thanks for fixing the sorting thing, that was pretty weird. (IMG:[

Thank you very much for fixing absorb, that should make it much more useful for me (I had stopped using it entirely since I was simply wasting MP), since my usual setup has a 28% evade chance and a 36% resist chance; combine that with a monster's general miss chance and I'm pretty sure I was abosrbing more misses then hits. Now only the ones that would have actually gotten through will get caught. Do you think it was smart to remove the post-abosrb output? Maybe hold off on that until we've had time to test the fix?
Yay4bewilder finally having its own icon (IMG:[

Edit: Oh god, it's so weird!!!And you fixed Sonic's interference bug too.
Two to three out of five bug fixes attributed to me! Go me!
On a side note, for things like evade+resist coming together for 'blocking' spells, do they stack multiplicatively, or are they separate rolls?
PS: All insanity displayed above is due to lack of sleep, not drugs. I swear.
