Dota have a very high and steep learning curve. u need to learn both heroes and items (well LoL season3 got several more items with active than Season 2 but Dota items are full with active abilities) might get flamed here by im quoting locodoco opinion about Dota, " U got a bunch of imba shit and how to balance it? U more imba shit"

Some heroes might have u ready to press up to 6buttons for their abilities, if that not enough u can use all items that have active abilities (yup 12 abilities if u want to). yea Dota is more complex than LoL, oh here an example"

in LoL summoner spell like Flash(its like blink with less range) have a hell of a long cd (around several minutes) while in Dota there is 2 items with Flash-like ability as an active with several seconds cd and have no problems like LoL famous fail flash. that's 1 fine example of difference between two games.

OFC both are still a lot fun and very enjoyable

Uninstalled a few months ago because playing without a 5-man team is just a frustrating experience.

MOBA's games are very intimidating to start or learn but it become famous for a reason =)

wasn't the mainstream Dota allstars player, was more a Dota chaos player

but any kind of Dota still trumps LOL in my mind

I uninstalled DOTA months ago too because it was more of a addiction than actually enjoying the game.

Now I have more time for games I actually get something out of.

Played Dota on battle net in the day most people were fags and everyone banned eachother with the host bot. After that played some HoN beta.

Best game out there. Nerfnow makes some webcomic strips of it, for those interested.

Amazing game, better than the competition imo. Thing is, I had to buy the Bastion announcer to shut that annoying holiday dude up (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Yup, been playing a lot lately. Just started playing Invoker and getting the hang of invoking those spells. It's tough at first but it becomes a second nature after practicing a while.

Dota is probably my longest "addiction" for sure.

Played war3 dota for MANY years, almost it's existence and after like a 2 year break, I'm back to Dota 2 for the last year since Valve enabled it through the survey, lol...

To the point where I bought like 5 games during December sales and still haven't played 3 of them, and only a handful of hours on the others, just end up playing Dota.

On a side note, yay AR finally.

Reinstalled after AR came, not so many russians playing AR.
Still, the game sucks and I want to uninstall it again.

Oh boy, while I do love Dota 2 but sometimes when you get that "OMG YOU NOOB, YOU ARE RETARDED, RETARDED TEAM, etc" player.. It really, really kills the joy.
Funny enough AR seems to be the most fair game you can have atm. (Since everyone is picking drow ranger).

Worst is probably when you got "prophets" on your team, (not a hero pun).
When some random guy who played 1000 hours or more, gives up because he looks at hero picks and says "i know the outcome, we lost" then proceeds standing at fountain in afk.

Haven't experienced that one person would do that yet.

But I have learn that you should not no matter what you do, help others unless YOU know YOU will get a kill.

But seriously, I haven't seen a Russian troll or the like since it put me in the normal difficulty when I was starting out with Dota 2..

Even with the try hards in high/very high difficulty, nobody cares much 95% of the time. Especially if you disable the pick modes and play AR/SD..

Yeah, I know how it's feel. I've been a LoL player for 2 years, now I moved to Dota 2. I still miss some good things in LoL, like the bushes and the HUD show your ally HP and enemy heroes stats when clicked in on top or the table show everyone items instead of have to clicked on them... Wish Dota 2 added all of them.

A thing that make me annoyed is people tended to judge your skill by looking at your battle level and win score. So if you have high level and somewhat low win then you are a noob and get all kind of difference treatments at the start of the game. That's my case, I just moved to Dota 2 and wanted to train with bot 1st to get used to it and made a mistake to farmed a lot of greevil game just to make an unusual mythical greevil.

I wish Dota2 would get a model ike midwars in HoN.
I was a Dota player in the olden days (5.34) but now I just cannot trudge through all the 40 minutes of these matches, cannot take the stress of "if I die now I'm gonne be playing catch up for the next 30 minutes".

Midwars is pretty good stress-less fun, just getting a bit too boring by now.
